Scares the dogs
It's a fine product for an animal that will use it or let you use it on them. Unfortunately, my dogs are scared of it. It is smaller than I expected, but it would have done the trick if my dogs were willing to use it.It was much harder than I expected. There is almost no give in the small spikes. I got the product because my dog has severe allergies and no medication seemed to work. He has scratched his eyelid before trying to get some relief and was hoping this product would be the trick.I would suggest easing your way with this product for an animal. If it frightens them, they will never use it. I just wish I could have tested the product out to know that they were terrified of it.

A great scratcher for mini pigs...
I purchased the first of two ScratchnAlls in December for Bruno, my 16 month old mini pig. I waited a few months before giving my review because I wanted to pig-test the product. Bruno has a very strong snout and also enjoys biting on things. He likes to scratch a lot and scratches pretty hard, so I wasn't sure the "bristles" would hold up to this. I also was concerned he may ignore the product as a scratcher and just use it as a teether. I assumed it would be a fairly durable product because of the animals using it on the website, but I was still quite impressed with the quality once I actually got to hold and test it. Before installing, I used the ScratchnAll to brush Bruno's bristles. He easily adjusted to the scratching and even fell on his side like piggies do when getting scratched. Since Bruno is an indoor pet, I attached the brown scratcher to the side of the kitchen cabinet where he normally passes. Installation was easy. Then I brought Bruno and showed it to him. At first he began biting it. Then he started scratching his head and then his body. Bruno absolutely loves his ScratchnAll. He uses it several times a day, but especially after a bath. I ordered a second ScratchnAll which I plan on attaching to the terrace post. This way, Bruno will have a ScratchnAll inside the house and in the yard when he plays outdoors.

Pet sheep love this
Bought this because our pet sheep were "scratching" themselves on PVC pipe what was our sump pump drain line! The were rubbing so hard they were loosening it and making a racket that traveled to the basement. I was suprised by how quickly the sheep figured out to use this. They apparently enjoy it more than the PVC because that is no longer a problem.

As described
My dog is always scratching himself and thought this might be good for him. Can’t get him to use it, but if he did, I’m sure he would love it. Otherwise the product is sturdy material. Would be nicer if the scratch things would be rubberized, but I suppose then it would t be as resilient.

Humans are Domestic Animals Too
The packaging says "Barnyard Domestic & Zoo Animals L💗ve it!" Welp I saw my husband getting jealous of the cat and his wall mounted scratching pad, and I couldn't resist. He didn't even wait til the scratcher was mounted to the wall, he just picked it up and scatched himself right away - my husband that is, not the cat.

Broke, and nubs wore off after 5 months
Three of these were attached to a corner of the barn my horse liked to rub against. I put them in that spot to help alleviate wear and tear on the barn. Within 5 months , two of the pads broke off. I used washers to attach them, with study screws but the pressure of his weight I can only assume was too much. The last remaining stayed on but the nubs all wore/broke off.Over all, I love the nub size and shape, they are perfect - a bit like a curry brush. If these could be made larger, and more sturdy they would be much better for horses, but as they are I can't say that based on my experience. I don't want to have to replace them every 5-6 months.

Okay
My pig likes this now that he's figured out its there. I had to move it a couple times for him to figure out how to use it. It's expensive for what you get, but he seems to like it.

expensive
I give these four stars just because of the price, though they are very thick and well made and I doubt they will ever wear out, so it is probably worth the money. my mini loves these but still prefers to rub on trees and fences!!
