It's so fluffy I'm gonna die
Starting aquascaping and its my first time buying real moss and after reading some of the horror stories I decided to go with this one because it looked the most promising. Arrived quickly and came undamaged, but most importantly, fresh, green, dried and clean. Gave it a few soaks and rinses and it was perfect. Got nice big squares of moss, it's so fluffy and cute that I almost don't want to use it on my project. Will rebuy for sure.Update: a week later, moss has been infected with mold. Been battling it, but it keeps coming back. Moss is losing its color. Hopefully keeping it drier will get rid of the mold

Fresh and vibrant
Amazingly fresh, easy instructions to follow. My tarantula and frogs love it. Will purchase again.

Great for my frogs!
I’ve been using Zoo Med Frog Moss for my frogs’ terrarium, and it’s been fantastic! It helps maintain humidity levels, which is essential for my amphibians. The moss also provides a naturalistic environment, and my frogs love to hide in it. It’s easy to use and looks great in the tank. I highly recommend it for anyone who owns frogs or other amphibians!

Moss!
I love moss. I've put some in a jar and some in a tub (substrate of dirt and sphagnum and sprayed them both down) in hopes of reviving them for terrarium use. Honestly difficult to tell whether anything has happened quite yet, but I'm hoping they'll come to life in the coming weeks.

Inconsistent quality. It's either good or bad.
I would like to rave about what a great product Zoo Med Frog Moss is.Well, sometimes it IS a great product. I have received some beautiful green moss. And sometimes IT IS NOT good at all. Sometimes you might get brown and moldy moss like I just did.Over the past six months or so we have purchased about two dozen boxes of Zoo Med Frog Moss. Maybe more for our three terrariums.Other than buying new Frog Moss occasionally for our existing terrariums, we have just set up a big beautiful 36" tall x 24" wide x 18" deep terrarium for our Cope's Gray Treefrogs. It took MANY packages of Frog Moss to cover the floor of this terrarium.I'd say 1/3 of what we bought was good. 1/3 was mediocre and 1/3 was garbage. I actually ended up throwing a few boxes worth away. The worst part was that on one particular piece, we had white mold growing all over it. Just that one piece. Nothing else. Just one piece of Frog Moss. We noticed it a day or two after we put it in.When you are setting up a big terrarium, buying Frog Moss in large quantities is not cheap. The pics above show our brand new moss. That bare spot in the middle is where the mold grew. We had to buy more to replace that brand new "moldy" moss. As you can see, this brand new moss isn't that great. I don't know what is going on. We used to get really nice moss. Now we get junk.At this point I think I am done with Zoo Med and their Frog Moss. I can't keep wasting money like this and I really don't want to introduce mold into my terrariums.

Great stuff, Great price.
I just started building terrariums as a hobby, And I Love This Stuff! there is only one problem. My wife saw how beautiful it looks and now she's taking it and putting it in her planters to cover all the bare ugly dirt. The good thing is it's affordable. I signed up for the subscribe and save. So now I get my own box and my wife gets her own box.

This is dead moss painted green
The box arrived smashed and the moss is dead. Although the moss was green in the box,. I can only assume some kind of food coloring was used because after one day in the vivarium the color was noticeably different and after the second day all the green was gone. I left the moss in the vivarium to see if anything would start growing but after a month in a high humidity vivarium, nothing.I could understand if I had received a bad batch but the obvious but poor attempt at trickery really gets me.If you are looking for live moss do your self a favor and look elsewhere.
