Review: Super strong suck! and very lightweight. Not the best for 'every' rug. - What do I say about this little vacuum? It is AWESOME, but yet I'm still a teensy bit disappointed? I guess I was hoping for a complete upright replacement, and yeah, it isn't. I have 2 rugs of short, yet very dense pile that will still need my old upright for a deeper 'rug beater ' clean. That said, this little vac works GREAT on my bare floors (90%) of my home. Sucks dirt and particles I didnt even know I had out from under my baseboards, (using just the wand with no brush or crevice tool , a few pine needles from a 'live' Christmas tree 2 years ago came out and paint chips from a reno 7 years ago came out!) I got super nasty dust off my ceiling fans with the little brush attachment thing without significant effort on my part and likewise was able dust my winow blinds with same attachment and minimizing the level of 'suck' by opening the adjustment port on the handle. Very impressive! Still, I wish I could vacuum my two nice rugs. It works well on my Home Depot shaggy rug and my Home Depot 'Oriental' rug, but yeah either sucks too hard and get stuck on my good rugs or it just skips over the surface and doesn't suck anything. So. I am still giving 5 stars as a tool to add to my home cleaning arsenal. Truly I am impressed. That said, depending on your rug situation, be aware, it may not be great for every rug type. For me, given 90 percent of my house is hardwood floors or tile, this will be my go to the majority of the time, it gets under most of my furniture and bookcases, it's pulling stuff out of nooks and crannies on my baseboards and the seams of my couches and recliner, (goodbye Sunday binging TV cookie crumbs) it is sucking up all the dog hair dust bunnies (I have a labrador and a bulldog, although honestly, the bulldog doesn't shed much but my labrador sure does!) And without mopping, my hardwood has rarely looked this shiny. So, even though I was hoping to completely replace my upright I will say, I am very pleased with the performance of this little vac. For the price? Really, I don't think you will be dissatisfied. 5 stars after 2 hard core uses (every scenario I could think of to put it through). We'll see how it goes in 6 months. The extension poles ARE plastic, not metal, if they hold up , we'll be golden. The plastic doees keep it very light though which is why the ceiling fans weren't difficult. So I'll take it. Oh, last thing the attachments and cord stow away nicely, the wand and hose, not so much. I have a bigger utility loset so that doesn't bother me, but if you need your vacuum to be really 'tidy' in storage, you may want to take that into consideration.
Review: Eureka WhirlWind vs Bissell Zing - I very rarely write reviews, but I felt obligated to do so today after using the Eureka WhirlWind that was delivered today from desertcart. Yesterday when ordering this machine after my 3-year old Bissell Zing finally bit the dust with the smell of burning plastic and loss of almost all suction, I was looking for a review like THIS ONE to let me know if I should buy the same Bissell Zing again (the devil you know) or try this Eureka WhirlWind out (the devil you don’t). For those looking for a fast answer, I will tell you right now, the Eureka WhirlWind won by a mile. This is a far superior machine and comparatively priced. For those who are looking for the reasons I feel this way I have quite a bit to write. At the beginning of the pandemic, 3 years ago, I was forced to downsize my living space significantly. I moved from a very large multiple level place to a small apartment of 500 square feet. Like everyone else during the beginning of the pandemic I was forced to buy pretty much everything online. When I moved into my new place I ordered 4 area rugs from desertcart and chose high pile shag rugs (all are in my photos) as well as a no pile indoor/outdoor rug for the bathroom. My old upright vacuum cleaner from the old place would have handled these rugs wonderfully, but it was too huge to store anywhere in my new place, so I had to give it away. What I needed was a small vacuum cleaner that could be broken apart in sections and stored under the kitchen sink. I found the Bissell Zing on desertcart and ordered it immediately. When it arrived it seemed to fit the bill. It was the right size and easy to store. But right from the first use on my high pile shag rugs and it was a struggle. The Zing was very limited- did not move easily along the shag rugs and really seemed to do a poor job. Vacuuming was HARD and it was not fun- it was like an aerobic workout and the rugs never seemed to be fully free of my cat’s hair and my long hair. Still it was all I had and I just lived with it. Also with the Zing, which is bagless, like the Eureka WhirlWind, the filter was a paper honeycomb-like thing, which I hated right away. It was not easy to clean at all. I truly hated cleaning that filter! So ok, that’s what I was dealing with and I vacuumed about once a week, hating the process. After less than a year the extension wand sections, which were plastic, began to crack. It may have been all of the pressure I was forced to use to vacuum the shag rugs. Maybe if I had just low pile rugs or floors that might not have happened. But it did. It made vacuuming ever HARDER. Oh, what a chore. I got out my friendly duct tape, bandaged the plastic and resumed and went on this way for another 2 years until yesterday when I plugged in the Zing and started vacuuming and heard an unhappy sound from the motor and smelled burning plastic. Then I lost almost all suction. It had been used approximately 150 times on the rugs and floors shown in my photos. I threw it in the trash. Since my main concern was being able to store it under my kitchen sink, I could find only 2 options under $100 here on desertcart- another Zing or the Eureka Whirlwind. I read all reviews for both. I knew the Zing quite well and knew it’s limitations and was scared to get stuck with something worse (god forbid!) but I went with the Eureka WhirlWind instead. Mind you, there are a million better vacuums out there & more money will get a better machine, but the Eureka Whirlwind is much better then the Zing for MANY reasons. First of all, it was simple & brainless to put together. I think the Zing was simple as well. But as soon as I used it today it was OBVIOUS to me how much stronger the suction was and I did not have to struggle in the same was as I did with the Zing to get it across my high pile rugs. It picked up MUCH more and I honestly think my rugs got the best vacuum they have ever experienced. They are cleaner with the WhirlWind and it was EASIER to vacuum with the Whirlwind. Other features that I found make the WhirlWind better: The extension wand is METAL with the WhirlWind, not plastic, like the Zing. So even if I had to apply the same kind of pressure, the wand is stronger and will not crack. Also, the cord is 2 feet longer than the Zing, meaning I only have to plug it in to one outlet to do my whole place. But another thing I find incredible is NO MORE honeycomb paper filter! Thank goodness! The filter on this Whirlwind is FLAT and appears so much easier to wash. Hallelujah. My vacuuming experience just now with the Whirlwind took 1/2 of the time than it took with the Zing and came out cleaner and it took less physical effort from me. So that is something you should know. This is an EXCELLENT low priced, basic, small vacuum. I will do my best to update this review only if something goes wrong and I end up hating the WhirlWind,, but so far I am thankful I did not get another Zing.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Not only the most affordable coming but also the best canister
*by M***Y on July 17, 2026*

This is my favorite vacuum I've ever had. I bought it because it was the most affordable and I thought that I would prefer a bag and fewer gimmicks. But I'm reviewing it because this vacuum is worth it's weight in Dyson filters. If it died after a month of uses, I would buy another one. I have multiple indoor pets, kids, and a single family house. Obviously this vacuum doesn't do everything and house requires, but the job that it does, it does better than any other vacuum. Super easy to change the bag. Has zero bells and whistles. It literally turns on and turns off. You can change out between three attachments. It's got a really long hose attachment on it so you can stand up while using it. It's got a super powerful suction. It's probably the best suctioning hose vacuum I've ever had. Does a super job on cat hair couch, did a super job in the car. I travel around my house about once a week with this thing and get every nook and cranny. You'll want to have a regular vacuum. For carpets and floors and what not. But if I only get to use this vacuum for the six times I've used it and then it died tomorrow, it would have been worth every penny.
