The strap is short relative to most other sunglasses straps, and only has a couple inches of space between my head and the strap. This is fine, though I don't like the occasional grazing of my upper neck because I often assume it's a bug. I'm also not a fan of how these look sticking out behind my head, as opposed to the longer ones that hang down. I don't have a large head, but my boyfriend does and these do almost hug his head.
