Much more impressive than they seem at first
Palram has a knack for making their stuff look like pure junk when you unwrap the kits, because they disassemble everything down to basic slats to save on packaging costs. But somehow, when it all comes together, it’s better than I expect, every time. These shelves are yet another example of that. They’re pricey, no doubt. And when I opened the boxes, I wanted to cry. They looked like a bunch of junk, just like the greenhouse kit did. But when I put the first one together, and it wasn’t wobbly or rattly like I thought it would be, I was more encouraged. So far, they’re living up to their name as being ‘heavy duty’. I have the set of four, and they are getting a workout in my greenhouse. Installing the shelves is a pain in the behind, because of the way Palram uses the screw head into a groove thing (also miserable when assembling the greenhouse itself). It becomes a two person endeavor when it should just take one, only to corral fiddly parts and keep them from hitting the floor. But once the shelves are up, they seem to hold a lot. I’ve got a collection of at least six quart sized pots on each shelf, all filled with soil and holding plants. One pot is terra cotta, about 10 inches across, and it’s heavy, holding a small olive tree. But the shelves are standing up nicely so far to this, despite my concerns. I try to put the biggest, heaviest pots on the ground instead, like my potted citrus trees that are 3 feet high, but I’m impressed that these shelves are holding so well against an onslaught of cuttings I’m trying to propagate. One star deducted for the ridiculously high price for a set of shelves. It cost almost half what I paid for the greenhouse itself. I only bought them because it’s a tiny greenhouse (6x4), and I wanted to maximize the space I had inside; I was also worried about building wooden ones because of their weight compared to the aluminum and plastic greenhouse walls. This works well, and the aluminum means they’re lightweight on their own, yet sturdy.

Very sturdy
I bought two types of shelving. This one is superior by far. Holds the weight of my plants. I do use a cookie sheet to sit the plants on. Ideally the space between the shelf slats could be closer. I am happy with my purchase😎

2 people comes in handy
Putting together and install not at bad as the reviews had us believed but definitely easiest with two people. One person to start with the Phillips, the other person behind with an impact driver. Fully installed in about 1.5hrs. Sturdy solid shelves

Tip for Easy Installation
The way to make installation easy is if you measure from the floor and mark on the channels where the upper row of T-bolts needs to be. Then insert and gently hold each t-bolts in position with a pair of needle nose pliers while squirting a drop of hot glue behind the t-bolt head. Hold the bolt for a few seconds while the glue cools and then the t-bolt becomes a solid stud ready for it's shelf. The bottom row of t-bolts are easy to install (no hot glue required) after the shelves are mounted to the top row of t-bolts.
