Lancôme Idôle Eau de Parfum - Long Lasting Fragrance with Notes of Bergamont, Jasmine & Vanilla - Fresh & Floral Women's Perfume

Okay, so I really didn't want to like this a much as it turns out that I do. Initially upon testing it, it smelled like old lady to me. (Which is very biased on my part because my grandmother used to love rose smelling perfumes. So immediately my brain associated it with grandma smell.) Knowing the association factor, I decided to give it a genuine chance, and sprayed it all over (the key points behind my ears, base of my neck, inner elbows, wrists, and 1 spray on clothes). I immediately got this super comforting feeling, got super tired, and fell asleep. After my little nap, I woke up and the scent profile had changed. The rose smell was no longer as prominent and it became this super soft jasmine, slightly rose, slightly fruity, but also creamy smell that I'm absolutely obsessed with. I've been looking for a perfume that fits the slightly floral, slightly sweet, slightly lemon without being gourmand description. So far, this has been the closest that has fit the bill. (Not that I've searched super hard.) It's a little expensive, but worth it in my opinion. I think layered with a soft citrus, this perfume would smell like absolute heaven. Especially after the dry down. The bottle is cute and unique too. I don't know why but I find it fascinating in comparison to some of my other perfume bottles. It's so simple, yet also elegantly classy. Overall, I'm very happy with this perfume and absolutely want to smell the rest of the line now. I've read that Idole is one of the most beautiful in it, but the citrus in the EDT seems very promising and the only thing I wish the EDP had more notes of. Although, I do enjoy the fruity element. After the dry down it's closest to a soft jasmine with a hint of rose, a hint of creamy raspberry, and a fresh woody smell. It is a little more on the floral side of all of that, but I think this is an absolutely beautiful perfume that pleasantly surprised me and I will be buying more of it in the future.

Smell is perfect. Gifted for myself. It is worth. Long lasting.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE this scent! I'm bummed the full size bottle is a bit out of my price range, so this purse sized option is great. The glass tube does not break easily and the pump works dependably.

Scent is ok

This is a lovely and feminine fragrance. It's very much a floral, but doesn't make me think "fresh" as in the description because it's a heavy scent. I don't dislike it, but if I had smelled it in the store first I most likely wouldn't have purchased just because it is such a heavy floral. It's perfect for special occasions or formal functions. Maybe it'll grow on me.Edit Update: after using it for about 2 weeks I must admit that I absolutely love it now. The heavy top notes dissipate and it becomes a beautifully feminine scent. I only purchased the small bottle but I've now ordered the refill.

Love, I get a lot of compliments on. A nice and expensive perfume that doesn't smell like cheap perfume yay!
