**Q: I am looking for a tool for my dog to scratch his face/head.  i think this might work.  dog rubs up against furniture, walls, etc.**
A: It might work. I suggest you buy a dog brush or furberator, and brush your dog. It makes a great bonding experience.

**Q: Any machinists used it to get metal chips out of soles**
A: It will work.

**Q: Does this one work well with shoes sizes larger than 11/12 mens?**
A: Probably would work with shoes larger than 11/12.  I anchored ours to a heavy board so it would stay in place when in use.

**Q: Are there replacement brushes? Where can I purchase sets of these?**
A: No idea, but the brushes it comes with seem to last forever. I bought mine years ago, and use it regularly, and the brushes still seem to be in real good shape.

As suggested in another review, I mounted this shoe cleaner on a piece of wood that allows one to stand on one end of the wood while cleaning the other shoe. The bristles on this cleaner are stiff and do an excellent job getting the dirt out. The bristles on the sides are an extra bonus. Excellent product.

Works fine, but I had to mount it to extensions on each side to keep it still enough to use.
