Will it cut a shoe box?

I think it depends on how thick it is and if you’re able to get it into the hole puncher. I’ve been able to cut thin cardboard with it.

what size is the 1 inch hexigon punchout?

The piece that is punched out measures 1 inch across.

is this one inch height or width?

I bought it for a friend, so I don’t have it, but, I believe the one inch was the longest measurement, and it’s less than one inch in the smallest measurement.
