Great table for tailgating or camping
I use this surface to elevate my portable coleman camping grill/stove. I elected to get this table vs their dedicated "stand". As the stand they make has reports of being wobbly. Plus, when you're done with the grill and put it away, the stand can't be used for anything else. This table can still be a useful surface for other things. So, this table is pretty solid, yet still lightweight by virtue of the aluminum. My only gripe is the assembly. You have to be patient as you have to insert two rods into holes in the slats to provide the rigid table top. The slats are held together with shock cord, making them easy to fold up accordion style. That said, the holes take a little time to line up as you push the rods through. It's not hard, you just need a little wiggling to line up the rods.Otherwise, the legs fold out easy. And there's an optional extension foldout on the legs. So, you have two heights...but nothing inbetween.A solid table, nice surface area, and I love the aluminum construction, which was key for me as I want to put my hot grill on it and not have to worry.

Love it!
Already took it to the beach! It was great! Perfect size for two, maybe three. We had it between our beach chairs and it was so nice to have snacks and drinks within reach. Easy to carry, store, assemble and take down. Just be sure to wipe off any sand before putting it away, just makes it easier. There are two heights. We had it at its tallest and shoved the legs into the sand, very stable. This table would be great for the park and camping too. Such a worth while buy!

Nice Ultralight Portable Table
This large version (18x24 inches) of GSI's camping table was the best for me. The smaller version did not have the surface area I wanted. The dual-folding legs allow you to use it at 3 heights: legs folded flat(about 1 inch high), unfolded once (8 inches high), or unfolded twice (14 inches high). It is designed as a camp chair table or beach picnic table as it is not tall enough to serve as a traditional table (e.g., see Coleman folding table at 32 inches high which is larger and taller but much heavier). This GSI table can also be used as a sit-on-the-floor dinner, project, or PC laptop table. The 1/8 inch gaps between the table top slats, and the aluminum tube construction, allow great cooling air flow for laptops or other PC periferals setting next to your desktop (temporary USB backup drives, etc.). This table was designed to give the best balance of large size and ultimate low backpacking weight which it does very nicely. I removed 1 star because the weight limit is only 20 pounds, and as a mechanical engineer, I honestly believe (for a few more ounces of material weight) they could have added a bit more thought and doubled the weight capacity, or even made it capable of being used as a temporary seat. As it is, the rating won't even hold your loaded 35-pound backpack to keep it off a wet ground (or a 5-gal water jug or bucket), and the feet are a bit sharp for the floor of a tent. Regardless of a few shortcomings (which you might even improve with your own creativity), I have found many uses for it and like it, and recommend it for doing well what it was designed to do. It even folds flat (without the full roll-up stowing) to set next to a desk for faster deployment when needed.

A great little table
I bought this for canoe camping, and everyone loved it on our recent trip. The design is ingenious, and the table is very sturdy yet lighweight. I really like the dual height feature. Well worth the extra weight for a party of six. I also bought the GSI Micro table, but decided it was a bit too small to be useful. This one is a bit heavy for backpacking, but is perfect for canoe camping, where a couple extra pounds on a portage are no big deal. A tad pricey, but worth every penny. Thanks GSI for a superb design and implementation.

oh me no like
looks like a good idea, but fails. Hard to quickly assemble and is unstable would advise using a stove on it. its just to low to use with a camp chair and is noisy in the back pack

Lightweight but flimsy and finicky to setup
I had to return the first one I received, as the elastic broke the very first time I tried to set it up. The second one has functioned decently, but it is pretty flimsy. There have been several times that a leg or two have partially folded back in and nearly brought what was on the table down with them. And inserting the rods is tricky at best, even when you have a completely flat surface to lay the table out on.

Excellent accessory for compact camp chairs, well designed and well made.
This is the perfect accessory to Helinox Chair Ones or similar low, lightweight chairs. I'd originally tried going with a knock-off of the Helinox table, but the top didn't stay on. The macro table was a nice middle ground price-wise, because Helinox prices are absurd. GSI seems like a "real" company, as a opposed to an importer of commodity knock off items, so I went with this.At first lift, it seemed a bit heavy, but it's much more solid than the bungee poles and fabric top table I'd had before. It's also quite a bit larger, so it's less likely to blow over and it will hold more stuff. It's perfect for car camping, the beach, or little league games, which is what I've used it for.As someone else said, the feet might have to much of an edge to use without ripping your tent floor. And it can be a bit difficult to thread the rods into the holes. But, I really can't recommend a more stable, lighter, more compact table for the price. Really happy.

Was good till rods lost
First off, loved the table, then hated it! Lost the rods so rendered useless. Tried reaching out to GSI in hopes for help. Wrong decision, customer service was sarcastic and rude. There response was this “ Do you realize that to replace the rods you lost we will have to take them from another table that we will no longer be able to sell?” I will never buy another GSI product and hope nobody else does unless you want customer service like they provide!
