A guide to sizing your transformer To decide which transformer to use, times the bulb wattage by the amount of lights you have Example: bulbs are 1.1 watt each and you have 6 lights (1.1watt x 6 lights = 6.6 watts) (+10%) we always advise to leave at least 10% of the transformer wattage rating free so in this case it would be a 10watt transformer On older system’s that use Halogen bulbs we advise that these are changed to a LED bulb, these use less power form the transformer, are cheaper to run and the cost of the transformer is also less Example: approx. 10 watt halogen = 1.1 watt Led bulb
