Greatree Archery Cartel Mini Compound Bow Set Red

This is an excellent youth compound bow. I bought this for my 4 year old granddaughter and, while she struggles a little, she can draw it back and hold it in order to aim. It is a small bow (19" top to bottom), well suited to young children. It comes with a carrying case as well as a bow stand, both are nice perks not found with other similar kits. The bow is well constructed and will last for a long time. My granddaughter will outgrow it long before it breaks or wears out.The one issue I have with the set is the arrows. The nock on an arrow should have a narrower gap at the end than the width of the bow string that will lock the arrow onto the string. This is how my adult bow works and how another youth set I got works. This feature allows you to pull the bowstring back and have the arrow slide back with it without the need to contact the arrow with your hand directly. Many of you will know that pinching the nock with your fingers as you draw back will cause the arrow to slip off of the rest. This can make for a frustrating experience for young children who are just learning archery. If they adjust for this shortcoming by pinching the nock in their fingers then they learn a bad habit that will have to be unlearned later.So this set started at a 5. I removed 1 star for the arrows and one more for the bad habit it ingrains in the children using it.
