Sunforce 45455 Wind Generator 30' Tower Kit

Excellent tower kit. This is my second tower, the first being "home grown". It came with all necessary hardware, and was very easy to assemble. I used a concrete base that I originally poured for the home grown tower, but this kit comes with a base and stakes that looks like it would do a great job. I wish I would have taken this route initially. I bought this for use with the Sunforce 45444 Wind Turbine that I am very impressed with.

Does not charge in 10 mph to 15 mph wind, requires much higher wind and when it starts to charge almost immediately shuts down. I purchased a new low cost controller and now it seems to work. No more shutdown upon charging

I wish the generator was as well built as the tower, but in fairness, this tower is very well built, easy to install. Note however, you need to drive stakes in the ground, the driver they provide wouldn't come back out of the ground once pounded in, I had to use a tractor and loader to pull it back out.

After 18 months, the cables rusted through and snapped were they make contact at the ground and tower fell destroying my windmill. They should of had some type of coating on the cables where they meet the ground.
