PEARL IZUMIElite Tri Shorts

I purchased these with the express interest of using them for brick training (bike/run), and not for actual triathlons. After using them, I might use them for an up coming triathlon.When training, I conduct brick training twice a week.Cycling/Running: I ride anywhere from 3 to 4 hours at a time and run right off the bike for anywhere from 1 to 2 hours. In the past, I would have to change my biking shorts into running shorts. This would take me approximately 10-15 minutes.After getting these Tri Shorts, I was able to cutdown my transition time down to a couple of minutes.Swim/run: I generally swim 3k yards and then run for 40 to 90 minutes. After swimming, all I do now it put on a dry shirt and shoes/socks and start running. After about 10 minutes, the shorts were dry and did not cause any problem with running.I have also find that they are extremely comfortable for long distant rides and while running.If you are looking for a lot of padding, these are not for you. The padding is quite small and covers only what needs to be covered without additional material. These actually work well with a specific triathlon bike seat.

I found these while looking for cycling shorts, and wasn't aware that there is almost zero padding. Only now do I realized "Tri-short" must mean triathelon. Probably not gonna feel good after 35-40 miles on the bike!

I think these are the only Pearl that have the draw string. This is the 2nd one I bought and I hope they keep making them. Well designed, good materials & very comfortable.

I use these for spin classes several times a week and really like the fit. They have a lot of seams and move well.

These fet great. Elastic in less wears out over time though.
