OEM Range Switch 3149400

Our large burner stays HIGH even when the knob was set at LOW. So I suspected that the infinite switch control might need to be replaced. After watching a few YouTube clips on how to replace the switch, I was able to do it in less than 10 minutes. For this model, you need to trim the knob (use pliers to break off the top portion and put the retainer clip back on. You could use the old one for reference). This was simple plug-and-play. Everything is working well. My wife is happy. Recommended!

The big 2500 watt burner at the front right of our Whirlpool glass top electric stove wasn't working right. It was always hot, all of the time. I did some research, and found that this rotary switch needed to be replaced. I bought this part from Amazon, and it was a perfect fit! Such an easy repair! And the how to video made it that much easier! Now the burner works perfectly, and adjusts heat according to where you set the dial. This part was inexpensive, and was exactly the same as what was in our range before. I really recommend this part if you are having the same problem with this burner. If the burner you are working with is one of the smaller ones, or one of the dual burners, this is not the correct part, you'll need a different one. Good luck!

Pretty good replacement on our 13 year old whirlpool stove. It had quit regulating temperature on our large burner, and would just keep heating full blast.After replacing this switch, the burner works perfectly again. It was a super easy swap out, and shortening the length of the stem to match the original one was simple and strait forward.My only complaint is that one of the screw holes for mounting it striped out with very minimal torque. It's holding well enough with one screw, but be gentle when tightening it up...

Yes, the shaft is long. It works with different stoves. I cut the end off as needed. And it was then the correct length tested and used already at work scraped.

Exactly fit and easy installation

Appears to be mostly identical to my original burner control for my Whirlpool stove.The original switch was rated for 11.5 amps and 2700W. This one is rated for 11 amps and 2400W. It appears to work for the larger burner on my stove so far.Just don't forget to snap the tip of the shaft off if you don't need the extra length. Also, remember to reinstall the little metal clip. It holds the knob on a little more tightly.
