How wide is the slide (flap) portion? I want to make sure it will seal between my two glass doors.

The flap part which cover the gap is different for each size: 1/4" seal flap is 8mm, 3/8" seal flap is 16mm and for the 1/2" seal flap is 9mm.

Hello Bruce, Unfortunately we don't have this mode in soft material only, but we do have 2 other seals that are soft material and with Pre-applied adhesive. is it possible to open the shower door both ways (inside and outside) after the installation ?

Technically, "yes."...But you don't want to open the door inward once this fine product is installed correctly. The large flap shields against water getting out of the shower and is intended to swing outwards only. That flap will wear out and shear off of you try to pull the door inwards past that point.

Is the fin/flap soft? Will this work on the opening side of the door? So the flap/fin would be hitting the wall when opening and closing.

Yes, the flap guard is pliable. This is not a bottom door seal; it is for the side of the door. The bottom door seal has a different type of “sweep” to keep the water off the threshhold. I just replaced all the seals on two heavy and thick shower doors and frames, and they all work perfectly.
