Q: Are these comparable to the large marshmallows for roasting for s'mores? I just don't want to end up with a bunch of mini marshmallows.

No, these are handmade treats like gourmet candy. If you want to make smores, stick with the bags of marshmallows from the grocery stores. They cost less.

Q: Would these toast/melt nicely on sweet potato casserole? Anyone tried that yet?

No. I put them on sweet potato casserole and it did not work at all. Granted, my marshmallows were all melted together into one big clump when I received them in my mailbox, but when I cut them out of the bag and put them on the casserole, they melted flat, and cooled hard into like a candy shell on top of the casserole. Taste was fine, but the whole appealing fluffy, toasty marshmallow experience did not occur.
