Baby Clay Footprint & Handprint Keepsake Photo Frame Kit (Black)

I found the clay keepsake instructions clear and easy to follow. The clay was not as messy on my dogs paws as I anticipated it to be and it was soft enough that I did not have to apply too much pressure on their toes to get a nice impression. Make sure to use a round bottomed mug to smooth the clay and I would recommend allowing your dog to have a sniff before sinking their paws into the clay, just to prevent panic! Once the imprints were done I left the clay keepsake to dry for the recommended 4 days in my utility room and selected a pair of photos. I would recommend a comfortable room temperature to ensure no moisture is left in the clay. I particularly like the two photo option in this product and the choice of mount colour means this little treasure can be customised to suit a specific room in the house.Once dry, the sticky tape provided was great for securing my photos in the frame. I did not need to hunt for tape, you get everything you need (minus the pet and photos) to create a memory that will last a life time and beyond. The frame is sturdy and the support at the back is strong. I am confident it will not slip over. I really can not fault this lovely product. It would make a lovely gift for any pet lover or for adding a personal touch at home.

I used the print frame and was extremely impressed! The outer box was pleasantly decorated. It was very good quality and the instructions were easy to understand. The ready to use clay was ideal! It was perfect as it was quick and no fuss!! There was just enough clay to fill the recess in the frames backboard and it was easier than I expected to roll and fill the area. Getting the print itself was straightforward after reading the handy tip section in the instructions. It took approximately 3 days to dry thoroughly and during this time I cut and fixed the pictures. I was pleased that the tape was included as I felt that everything had been provided to make the crafting of the frame as uncomplicated as possible! I really enjoyed creating the print and feel that I have made a wonderful keepsake!

I absolutely love this kit! I used it to make an impression of my Rottweilers paw rather than a babies hand and footprints.It comes with everything you need, including the ready made clay and and easy to follow instructions.The frame is well made and of a good quality. There are two reversible picture mounts, so you can chose to have either a white, cream, pink or blue surround for your pictures and clay print. I chose white, as it suited my dogs pictures best.I knew it wasn’t going to be the easiest thing in the world to get my huge Rottweiler to do a paw print for me, so I got him to do a few practice goes on the base board before getting the clay out.Once I opened the packet of ready made clay, it had to be kneaded for 3-5 minutes, I went for the full 5 minutes as the little cracks in the clay seemed less obvious the warmer the clay got. I found it easy enough to get the clay into the backing board, but smoothing it out did take a lot of patience! I pressed it all down with my fingers, as well as rolling a glass over it and using the wooden roller that came in the kit (I would have found the roller more useful if it was the same widths the space for the clay) . At times the little cracks in the clay were becoming more obvious the more I tried to smooth them out, so I had to take the clay back out and re-knead it to warm it back up, which did help to smooth the cracks out more. It took about 20 minutes until I had it pretty perfect, but then my dog over enthusiastically mashed his paw into it and I had to start over!I knew it was never going to end up perfect at this point, so I re kneaded it a little, pressed it back into the baseboard, quickly smoothed it out a bit, not worrying too much about the finish. Then I got my Rottie to do another paw print, but much gentler this time! Although this impression was a bit shallow, I still loved how it looked, as it showed all the little details on his paw pads and the clay didn’t crease lots at the edges like it had when he mashed his paw into it, so I kept this impression as the final one.I left it to dry for a few days, then I put it into the frame with the two pictures I had taped to the mounting board with the double sided tape. I then tightened the screws a little on the back and it was ready to put up in my living room.I’m really pleased with how it turned out. The paw print and the surrounding clay aren’t perfect, but it’s so incredibly cute, I absolutely love it!I highly recommend this kit to anyone who wants to make a little keepsake of their dogs paw print! It takes a little patience to get the clay right, but it’s absolutely worth it!

When it arrived, it was packed neatly in a sturdy box, so all the items came safe and sound.The instructions were easy to follow, supplemented by pictures that came handy to give a quick glance as a reminder of the steps.The longest time was to evenly spread the clay. Probably I would add to the instructions to put more chat in the middle and less to the sides towards the frame. When rolling the clay it will naturally push it out towards the sides anyway.I’m not sure if the product developer is planning to design a separate packaging for pet owners or not bu I personally think that if it is aimed at the pet market then some additional advice could go in the instructions how to lure the pet for stepping onto the clay.I think it’s a quality product and the experience to create out very own pet memory is just simply fabulous.It was proper fun from the very beginning and the end result is absolutely amazing.A great experience from getting the package to holding our very own personal present in our hand is just second to none. Even for people with zero arty-crafty skills this product will definitely put a smile on their face and provide with hours of fun. Worth trying and making memorable keepsakes.Definitely recommend getting it again.

Very well thought out and very well produced. The product came very quickly and well packaged with simple, easy to follow instructions and all the equipment required is provided. It also came with an additional insert frame which could be flipped for boy or girl which is a lovely touch. Trying to take a print is a lot more difficult then you would think but doing this with clay means you can restart and try again. It is a fantastic piece to be used as a keepsake, I would highly recommend.
