Didn't buy this to read in the bath or out in the woods while it's raining - bought it because I thought it would be more durable than a paper bible for day-to-day use - more resistant to tears and spills. Looks like that will be the case.Would rather have had a plain cover than the tree bark one, but the price was good - looking for a cover!Slightly odd feel to the pages, smoother than normal Bible paper.Text contrast with page very good.Heavy!2020 After five years of daily use, the pages look like new. The smooth plastic surface resists the build-up of grubiness far more than paper. There is a slight crease along the spine and the camouflage print is wearing off at the edges - purely cosmetic, the binding is still sound.Found a tough, zip-up climber's guide case that fitted perfectly (Climb Europe website, under Rock Climbing Products) which should help make this Bible one to pass on to the next generation.
