Did not work on ancient outlet
Bought these for my new apartment with incredibly loose sockets. They completely blocked the flow of electricity and were completely useless. The plug was very tight but nothing would turn on. I assume this is because these outlets are like 50 years old and must have different anatomy than modern outlets. So be warned- these may not work in your old-as-dirt apartment or home.

Worked, but not a favorite purchase
These are flimsy to the point where I’m using other objects to push it into socket without buckling up - doesn’t feel safe or smart. Once in they do work but can only use on items that aren’t getting moved. Can go to trouble to work it in for a lamp that’s staying in that plug, but not for the vacuum cleaner, which is of course an example of a temporary use of the outlet and the Socket Saver. So - it’s just okay. The plug to the lamp now stays in. However, I wish I knew of a better make that was not quite so flimsy, that didn’t buckle up when inserting plug into socket.

Read before you buy
So these just arrived yesterday, and I was hoping they would solve an issue that I have with a few of the outlets in my built-in-the-1950s house. Some of the outlets don't have that third lower prong, requiring a 3-prong plug adapter. In addition, these outlets are "upside-down", meaning that said adapters have to go in upside down, which results in their top-heavy weight pulling the plug out of the socket partway. I was hoping these would fix that, but they don't... and lastly, they cut off the current. They may work great if the only issue is outlets with just loose plugs, but if you want them for the same issue I have, save your money.

Good product!
Socket Savers are great for loose wall outlets! A Socket Saver goes onto the appliance that you are using, so you may need to remove it if you are switching to a wall outlet that that doesn't have loose connections. I bought 2 packs, and I'm glad that I did because plugging into a wall outlet that is only slightly loose will crimp the Socket Saver "prongs", and after that it is difficult to use that Socket Saver again. Socket Savers are really good at what they do though, so be aware that the plug with the Socket Saver on it may be difficult to pull from the wall. I would still buy again, when I need more.

These actually work really well. If you have sloppy, droopy plugs that barely stay in the outlet causing a potential safety hazard, buy these, they work as advertised. When you first use them it feels like you're going to break something because it is such a tight fit and it requires a little extra force to fit a plug in, but I've never had an issue with a plug not fitting or breaking because of the tight fit.

Stops your plugs falling out of the outlet!
This is a great product-I would give it 6 stars if I could. We live in a rental, so replacing the outlet(s), as some suggest, is not an option. In particular, our vacuum cleaner falls out of the outlet anytime we vacuum. The Socket Saver stopped that problem dead in its tracks! I travel often, and another problem I have is my iPhone charger falling out of the sockets on airplanes. Obviously, replacing those sockets is not an option either! This product fixed that problem as well. The key to using these is to place them in the outlet first, THEN plug in whatever you need to use. Most, if not all, of the negative reviews clearly indicate that the user was putting the Socket Saver on their plug, then trying to insert the combined plug/Socket Saver into the outlet. This is doomed to fail, as the Socket Saver is just not that sturdy--and it could not be that sturdy and still work. If it was thick enough to work in this manner, it would be too big to fit into the outlet along with the electrical plug. I have found them just the right thickness to solve all of my plugs-falling-out problems while still allowing the plug to be inserted into the outlet and provide for reasonably easy removal.

Won't work for your outlets
Tried several different outlets and plugs an they don't power on. What a piece of crap, the plastic bit was too FAT for some of the plugs and even finding one that fit it wouldn't even power the device on! The point is to be able to USE The plug that's in the wall or wherever its placed. Not just, oh, it fit tighter, yay I'll never use my (computer, lamp, etc) again. Don't waste your money on this POS.

Works great!
Like other reviewers said, it's hard to get out so probably should only use it in things that will stay plugged in. I almost ripped out the whole socket pulling something out that I unplug every night. But for things that stay in, it's amazing! So simple little plastic space saver. The real solution is to have an electrician do something in the socket, but I don't have time for all that right now. This was the perfect quick fix!
