SHORTY lures look like Butterfish or Shad-type baitfish and are much more compact.They resemble Mullet or Herring-type baitfish and have relatively thick bodies. I absolutely love fishing the Hopkins shorty single hook Lure.
I absolutely love fishing the Hopkins shorty and I am sad that the local tackle shops never seem to have them in the 2, 2.5 and 3 oz models with single buck-tail or tube. The Shorty with the Single Buck-tail is a great all around saltwater lure and it casts beautifully. I generally use it as a main lure with some hand tied flies as a teaser.The Single hook with green tube is perfect for striped bass when they are feeding on sand eels.

Received promptly and lure is just as expected. Hopkins makes great-casting hammered stainless lures for decades. Bluefish and stripers hammer them. Not cheap, but worth it.
