IPU ELT817 Elite Rolling Shower Chair for use Over Toilet and in The Shower

I am 6' tall. When I sat on this seat my feet were off the ground an inch. At this height its bad for people recovering from knee surgery, like my wife. Difficult for her to get all the way back on the seat, which is absolutely necessary at that chair height. The chair was off the toilet 3 1/2 inches. I removed the casters (not easy) and put felt pads on the legs instead to get a much better height. Another note, the toilet seat cover also needed to be removed for the chair to align properly over the toilet. The chair is well made and was almost no assembly. Pretty expensive chair to require these modifications.

My 81yr old mom had fallen & needed long term rehabilitation & they had these in the facility to help with showering her. So when we transitioned her to an assisted living facility I bought this for her to have so she would be safe when showering. It has worked well for her since she isn’t strong enough anymore to stand for showering. The quality of this chair is excellent. It’s very sturdy & you don’t have to worry about it rusting since it’s made of pvc plastic. The wheels roll very well & they also lock so you can keep the chair secure when placed where you want it. I sure don’t want mom to fall again, I definitely feel like she is safe when showering in this chair & most importantly my mom says she feels safe!
