I can’t say enough good things about this reference Bible. The benefits of a true bible believer’s life work: the careful amassing and study to be published in a King James Bible is truly a blessing I can appreciate. High quality and attention to detail. What more can be said?

I purchased this Marine's Bible for my daughter to give toa friend of her's that was retiring after 25 years of service.He was a Lt. Colonel and he had never seen a Marine Bibleand really liked it. She also had his name and "Semper Fidelis"embossed in gold inside..It is a real Bible, but it is also aU.S.Marine Corp Bible, and it has Marine History inside it.I also have one that was given to me as a gift, years ago.

I first bought one for my father (almost 86). He proudly has it sitting on his coffee table in the living room. That is where he keeps the mementos he is proud of. His lady friend saw his and wanted one for her son so I told her I would purchase it for her. I also bought one of these for my brother-in-law, the one for police officers, and intend to buy another for another family member. These Bibles are very well loved!!

Even though the leather is simulated, it looks quite realistic. The one drawback might be the lack of space to make notes. Our son took this with him to Marine Boot Camp.UPDATE: Our son was able to keep this Bible throughout boot camp. However, we've now heard that some drill instructors take this particular version away from recruits for daring to suggest that they are somehow "Marines," as implied by the title. This may seem incredible, but we have now heard this from several Facebook Marine Corps Boot Camp support-group administrators, who keep in touch with hundreds of parents of recruits. So if your son or daughter is a recruit, consider carefully whether to send this with them to boot camp. It might be confiscated. In fact, any Bible could be confiscated, but this one may attract more attention than the recruit wants or needs. This is just one of many mysteries about the Marine Corps mindset. If your recruiter tells you otherwise, I can only say that recruiters don't really know everything about what goes on in the different companies of the two boot camps.

These Bibles are fantastic. My wife and I have purchased many over the past 10 years. We give them away as gifts to friends as they join the military. I spoke with a young man last month. We gave him one when he entered West Point about 8 years ago. We spoke for a while and then he thanked me for the Bible - said he carries it with him when he's deployed.

It was for a gift for my grandson.I purchased two and gave the other one to another marine.I pray they read it.The Bible looks Beautiful.

I bought this for my 16 year old step son who wants to be a Marine when he graduates. He loves this and carries it to church and youth group. It's pretty small and I haven't been able to find a carrying case small enough to fit just right, but he's satisfied with the size.
