Wow.
We had heard about the advantages of wool for a long time and finally got a couple--the overnight large for our 12 month old (28 lbs) and an XL overnight for our 2.5yo (about 35 lb). These are soooo soft and do not bother my older boy's skin, which is sensitive beyond belief. We just used one prefold underneath and there were no leaks from our heavy-wetters! Their pjs didn't even smell like urine in the morning. That is new for us--everything we had tried previously couldn't make it all night.I loved that they did not need to be pre-treated or washed like other wool covers I researched. I also like that they do not need to be washed with the lanolin soap more than about once a month. Danish Delights was very helpful with my questions. My favorite thing about these? Both the boys started sleeping through the night with these on with just one prefold inside. They used to wake up at least once for a diaper change--neither can stand feeling wet (hopefully good for potty training!) and would not go back to sleep without a dry diaper. The prefold is definitely wet in the morning, but I guess they didn't feel it cause they didn't wake up!Worth the investment--and get a bottle of lanolin soap from LANACare. That is the only product you need to care for these. You only need to use about a 1/2 tsp of the soap with some lukewarm water about once a month.

amazing this is the only covers we use!!
Lanacare covers are THE BEST. More expensive but soooo worth it. They are the only ones we use because they are super high quality! We have one that is the 2 layer in between the legs and one that is 3 layers-obv 3 is better and I would just pay the extra $ and have just those because they are so good but i bought the 2 layer by accident. It's still really good for daytime use though, just not good for heavy nighttime wetters. I have a large for my 12m old and we put them over the workhouse fitted with snaps.

No Leaks!
We used this cover when we were new to cloth diapering and simply could NOT figure out how to keep our little one from soaking through his over-stuffed pocket diapers at night. We would actually pull this cover OVER a stuffed one-size and it was the only thing that stopped the leaks from getting on his pajamas. He grew out of it and we no longer need one for that purpose since we don't use a cover system regularly, but it gets the job done, and you don't necessarily need to wash it every time, though I would say more frequently than advertised.

AMAZING cover
This is the cover of all covers. I am so glad I decided to try wool! I was very happy with pockets for overnight for a long time, but my baby as she grows has become a much heavier wetter. I keep adding more and more microfiber to the pocket diaper and you can tell she is uncomfortable in the bulk and can barely move and it would still be saturated by morning. Well now we use a fitted (sandy's) and this cover. I don't even need to add a booster to the diaper, so she is trim and comfortable. the cover is super soft and cozy, and she is sleeping better. Zero leaks. Zero prep, this thing comes ready to use no initial lanolizing required. It airs out beautifully during the day and is ready for nighttime with zero smell of pee. I want to switch completely to wool and I will be buying the daytime version of this cover as well. Highly recommend.

So Far, Soft & Fits Great
I have only had this item for a week and used it 4 times. It is super cute and so very soft. I had heard good things about wool but this exceeds my expectations. Even though my 6-month-old daughter just barely weights 19 lbs (soaker is for 20 - 35 lbs), I am able to tighten the waist and it fits fine. She wears it from 6pm to around 6am (once till 7am). Takes most of the day to dry if it gets saturated with urine (in not-humid southern CA, sitting on my running dryer). I have not yet washed it and there is absolutely no smell of urine. Very pleased. I am still trying to find the right combination for night-time but this cover is the key. I will write again when I have more experience with it.

Buyer beware XL is Not a Night Soaker
Before writing review, I bought this twice through two different Amazon sellers, and from both received an "original" soaker, even though they labeled the packaging as "night" soaker (but it is obvious this was added on). The difference is a third layer in the midsection. I did order a size large as well, and that one is definitely a night soaker. You can tell by the feel & weight of the midsection, plus the labeling is original on the packaging. That being said, these are wonderful covers. Expensive, but worth it. The wool stays soft and only need to be washed/lanolized once a month (when alternating days with another one of these.)I used the true night soaker w/the 3 layers and never had a leak at night. My daughter wore these over a Mother-Ease Sandy's Fitted.
