It's really a stretch to wax poetic about a sprinkler pipe but these work just fine for me.

Great Irrigation Sprayhead Riser!
My irrigation system has been in the ground for a while. Living in the dirt, it is subjected to many environmental pressures such as shifting soil due to winter weather, rain and drought pressures. These risers allow for some adjustments in the main irrigation line to the spray head to maintain mowing clearance and sprayer height for water coverage. Plus, the soil conditions are "corrosive" to older previously used risers. These sturdy units and others of varying lengths bring back the spray head location to life with great water coverage. Always have a few spares to re-engineer any spray head location.

18" riser - a step up
Quick and easy. Stepping up from a 6" pipe to an 18" so the sprinkler head can disperse water above the current brush line. After years of growth some sprinkler heads are beginning to disappear and get overgrown becoming part of the landscape. These 18" threaded 1/2" riser pipes are the easiest upgrade on my sprinkler system yet. The idea and execution worked perfectly and the same sprinkles in the same zones are now many more times effective with much better coverage.

Great to have on hand
Same brand and quality as the ones I get at my local big box store. I'm just a DIYer, and pretty active in maintaining our yard's irrigation system. I always try to keep a few of these on hand because when one in the flower bed snaps, having one "in stock" makes it an easy 10 minute fix.

Orbit products are among the best quality
Their hose attachments, risers and pipes are solid construction for my DIY lawn/garden and irrigation repairs. However, their watering gadgets like timers are not so good and never hold up for more than a year.

Forget cutting pipe to fit
I got sick and tired of cutting pipes to spec. These are amazing help and I've got various sizes, so I can grab the one that fits my needs to get the sprinkler above ground again. Cuts my diy time in half.
