Let the Gas Professional Install
Nothing to dislike. Easy installation, just called the gas company and their guys installed it for me. Put the charges on my gas bill and drove away with the old grill on the back of their truck. That afternoon, I baked the potatoes on the top grill that's well above the fire. Did not have to heat up my house. with the oven in my stove. Grilled the steaks to medium rare and enjoyed with our baked potatoes and salad prepared in a cool kitchen. Thank you Broilmasterr and thank you Amazon for the very helpful delivery person who brought the grill to the back and put it up on the deck. I really appreciate it.

Terrible Experience
Do yourself a huge favor and do not buy this grill. The grill comes in a thousand pieces. Directions are hard to follow. Parts were missing. I have been putting this grill together for several hours and I am only half done. I had to drill out several holes just to get the screws started because the holes for the screws were too small to even start. The diagrams did not match the directions and directions were not provided for some of the most critical steps to assemble the grill. Some of the parts have very sharp edges which can easily cut (and did) my hands. They have many warnings about sharp edges and advise you to use protective gloves, but it is impossible to install the small screws and some of the other parts with gloves. If I had not destroyed the shipping box unpacking the grill, I would have sent it back.

Very disappointed.
I was very impressed with the grill until the automatic starter quit working after about six times. I haven't had a chance to figure what is wrong with it but it should have lasted longer. I checked the battery and that isn't the problem. Very disappointed.

Great grill!
My husband absolutely loves this grill. This is our second Broilmaster grill. We moved so we bought another one.

Built to last and modular. Have a pro install it and you’re all set!
If you are going to spring for an expensive natural gas grill, spend a little extra and have it professionally installed (in fact, an absolute must under many city ordinances). I purchased my first one of these (its predecessor twice removed) in 1987, and kept it going with heavy all-season (in Chicago!) use without repair or maintenance for SEVENTEEN years. I replaced it in 2004, but this time I’ve been smart enough to keep it in good repair. Both installations were done by the dealer’s recommended installers--who are also firefighters and know all about grill safety. Here’s the thing about Broilmaster grills: you can certainly buy cheaper ones. You can buy larger ones and grills with more built-in bells and whistles (which features you might seldom use). But when those grills break, you will either face huge repair bills or have to replace them. Broilmasters, OTOH, especially the P series, are modular. Grates get too grungy even after cleaning? Replace ‘em (one or both). Igniter stops working? Replace whatever part has broken. Flavor screen falling apart? Replace it or get ceramic briquettes. Burner stops working even when venturis are clean? You can replace that, too--or even just the venturis if you can’t clean them. When my first Broilmaster (Warm Morning) failed after 17 years, I could have done that but by then the P4s had come out with better quality features. I added two side shelves but decided against the rotisserie (which my first one had but I never installed) and side burner--but the old rotisserie will still fit, and I can always replace one of the side shelves with a side burner should I get too lazy to go inside and cook extra stuff with my stove or microwave. In ten years, I’ve replaced the flavor screen and a set of cast iron grates (you can now get porcelain-coated ones that will last longer), both of which were DIY without using any tools. When I couldn’t clean the right venturi, I had a repair guy come out and he reamed it out and refinished the burner (which I can replace in a year or two). He also discovered part of the igniter had corroded, so he replaced that part. Total cost, including labor, was $150. If I’d bought Webers, I’d probably be on at least my third one by now.Oh, and one push of the igniter is all it takes. The grates can be arranged in myriad ways. The grill reaches optimal temperature within 10 minutes, and can be adjusted anywhere from gentle indirect heat to screaming hot--and the temp indicator is accurate (as measured with an infrared thermopen). You can sear directly or use indirect heat, and can even smoke with wood chips in a foil pain. To clean, let any food residue burn off for half an hour and then go over the grids with a steel wire-mesh brush and wipe with a little oil when cool. (Tip: don’t use a wire bristle brush, whether steel or brass--the bristles can come off and be imbedded in your food, which is a very dire scenario should you ingest one. If you can’t find a wire-mesh brush, then wait till your grill is cool and use a Chore Boy or the like).Only reason I deducted a star is that it’s costly and will frustrate those too cheap to have a pro assemble, install and do the few major repairs it may need. I probably will never have to replace this grill, unless someone steals it.

Looks nice, hope I get to use it someday
Bought this grill through a dealer who received it direct from Broilmaster. Upon unpacking it the base was dented and the paint was bubbled terribly. Had to go through the trouble of going through the dealer to reach out to Broilmaster, submit a warranty claim, wait for it to come in, drive back to dealer a d swap out the bad part. Thought the bad was all over, had my line plumbed and we went to put the grill together only for their to be two missing pieces. I would expect this from Wal Mart crap but not for a $1500 grill. I would never buy another Broilmaster product. Hope I get to use this before the MI winter sets in.

like a rotisserie
Ok, yes it is modular, and you have to pick all of your parts to make sure you have a complete set (if you buy it at an authorized dealer they will make sure you have what you need).I have had mine for 20 years now. It was starting to look dingy and worn.. again. I have rebuilt this grill two times, and am the process of making it a third. Yes, it costs a few dollars to replace the valve, burner, briquettes, etc.but it is worth it. Cheaper grills will give you 2-4 years of use before you have to replace them. This thing is a tank.Cooking height is adjustable, and add on features are a plus, like a rotisserie.I'll have to admit the electric starter usually goes out within a year or two after replacing, but I just use a long lighter, and it's no big deal. My experience is that grill starters (no matter the brand or cost) are not very good. Of course, it could also be my fault in that I have never covered this grill, even during Cincinnati's dreary and wet winters.I would buy another with out any hesitation, just make sure you get the options you want and need as this is a modular project.
