The black leather band is very comfortable. It is easy to set
The vibralite 12 watch has greatly enhanced my ability to remember things, most importantly to take my medication on time. With constant shift changes at work, it would be difficult to remember to take my medication while busy at work. I did not want a watch with a loud alarm, but preferred something discreet. This watch has finally solved a problem I have been having for a long time. The black leather band is very comfortable. It is easy to set, just read the instructions when you first receive it.On top of the product being so great, the company's customer service was excellent. I was deployed overseas when I ordered the watch, and I did not receive it due to mail being inconsistent at my deployed location. I emailed the company and let them know, and they sent me a new one to a new address, at no extra charge. I cannot rave enough about the customer service, and the product.

Very expensive but not durable
I bought this watch on August 2013 for my 70 years old father, who suffers from parkinsons disease. I bought and tried almost 3-4 watches: Vibralite12 (110$ from Amazon, got broken within 9 months, started to reset itself, does not vibrate anymore or vibrates till it resets itself), Timex Expedition (cheaper but has only 3 alarms, strap torn apart only in 6 months, digits impossible to be read by elders), Watchminder3 (the worst watch I've ever seen. The watch came in a metal box with a huge note on it: "recharge immediately or battery dies! And as a matter of fact, my father forgot to recharge the watch twice and battery died in 2 months, what a crap). Vibralite12 was the most promising and expensive watch, with a big LCD screen and digits, but the result was no better than any other solutions I've tried. I have invested almost 250$ in total for watches and still looking for a solution.I personally do not agree with the reviews posted here.

Vibration is Excellent; Sound Alarm is Faint
When I first used the watch, the alarm was faint, hard to hear. But after I put in a new battery (YouTube has demo on how to do that), it was loud enough. So I was able just to use the hourly beeper without setting any of the 12 alarms -- this to save battery life. After a while, the vibration & alarm stopped working, though the watch read the time. I learned that when this happens, it means you need a new battery. It lasted may 1-2 months at first, with too faint alarm, then alarm quit. The battery that came with it must have been low to begin with. So with a new battery, I will now find out how long the battery lasts. The method of setting the options is a bit complicated. Fortunately, one can find a manual on line, if one loses the instructions that come with. I give 4 stars instead of 5 because of the difficulty in setting the parameters. What is above is post script. What is below is my first impressions. This watch does what I wanted; it reminds me every hour on the hour. This watch has both an hourly beeper (hourly chime) and also 12 set alarms. I hardly notice the sound alarm; it is too high pitched & faint for me. Maybe it would seem louder to a child, as one loses the ability to hear high frequencies with age. So for me the sound alarm is practically useless. I don't notice it usually. Fortunately, there is an alternative alarm by vibration. You can chose vibration only, sound only, or both. So I get a vibration every hour via the hourly chime (hourly vibration) setting. Then I also set 12 alarms per day; set to go off a little after the hour so that I get both alarms. On the hour I get a single vibration. 12 times a day I get multiple vibrations, which need to be turned off with the ST/STP button. I don't know how long it would keep vibrating with discrete pulses if I didn't stop it each time. If you lay the watch on a wood table, it makes the table vibrate noticeably.I do wonder how long the battery is going to last with the vibrations on.The instructions were difficult to follow, but eventually I figured it out.The watch has 4 buttons, 2 on left & 2 on right edge. On the left 1) light, 2) mode.On the right 3) ST./STP, 4) SET / RST.The 3rd button is in case you are driving a car & run out of oil. You push the STP & out pops a can of STP, the racer's edge! [just joking]The black leather band is nice, but thinner (~1/2 inch) than I would like as a man. The watch itself is standard diameter for a man's watch. The numbers are easy to read, but not as easy to read as with the $20 Armitron watch, which has a slightly bigger diameter and the loudest beep alarm I have found yet.I now have bought 3 watches:the $20 Armitron, the Timex Ironman Sleek 50-Lap Full-size Digital Men's watch #T5K335,and this VibraLITE12.I sent back the Timex for a refund, which Amazon did very efficiently. The Armitron was so cheap that I didn't bother returning it.The Armitron is not loud enough for me either, though the loudest of the 3; sometimes I hear it; sometimes I don't notice. I am over 39; my hearing IMHO is within normal acuity limits, but probably not quite as good as when I was 18. If you are young, have excellent hearing, & want an auditory beep watch, you might do well to try the $20 Armitron first, which has an hourly chime. Unfortunately, you are not likely to find in a selling description a good description of the alarm or hourly chime (dB's of loudness, pitch/frequency, duration).Apparently this VibraLITE's primary target user is the bed-wetter. I did not get it for that purpose! Can you imagine being woke up every hour at night to go to the restroom!!!Of course you don't have to set it to do the hourly chime/vibration/notifier. That is an option. And you don't have to set any or all 12 (major) alarms.Post Script, a couple of days later:Suddenly the watch seemed to have completely deprogrammed itself. It showed the wrong time. I don't know how I did it, but I must have activated a different time program. Apparently the watch has 3 time programs; so if you are a jet-setter, and live one day in Peking, one day in London, & one day in Minneapolis; you can set the watch 3 times for the 3 locations; then by pushing a button or combo of buttons, you can change the watch for the new location. Or if you were an Amateur Radio operator, you could set one time program for GMT, so that you could log your log in GMT. Or if you have relatives in Japan, & want to know what time it is there before you phone them, you could set one Time program for Tokyo. So, there was apparently nothing wrong with the watch except that one can accidentally change time programs (zones). I probably changed the time zones accidentally when I was turning off the Vibration after an alarm went off. I had not planned to use this "3 TIME ZONE" capability, so I didn't bother to learn how to use it. Maybe I pushed to Vibe off more than once & that did it.

making the watch completely useless. the previous vibralight I owned
reset problem. same thing with my watch. only it started immediately.. resets everytime i set the time... making the watch completely useless.the previous vibralight I owned... vibralite 2 developed the same issue, now I am learning that many customers are having the same experience with no plans by management to replace or refund. very silly. i consider this borderline theft, as I am sure that they are aware of the issue...
