Wheel & Paint Iron Decon

Great iron remover to get embedded iron particles from brake dust and rail dust dissolved from the painted surfaces, including wheels. I use it before polishing or applying a ceramic coating. If you don't use this, your polishing pads will get contaminated faster and you'll need to keep changing pads to accomplish great results, so using this is more efficient and you'll get better results faster. If your applying a ceramic coating this will help it chemically bond better.

This product works very well. I used this product on my 1year old car which is washed and waxed often and was amazed at how well it worked. I had partially decontaminated the paint about 5 days ago using a diluted solution of BDX (by 3D detailing) followed by some Griot's wheel cleaner so I wasn't expecting to get much reaction. Within a minute of spraying the Meguiars the whole trunk was reacting and bleeding. I went ahead and sprayed the rest of the car and got tons of reaction. Even on areas which had been previously cleaned with a similar product. It rinsed off easily and the car looked great. I washed the car when I was done. Great results on wheels although my wheels are clean. I'll clean someone else's dirty wheels and post more pictures later. Yes, the product stinks just like all the iron removers that I've used. Who cares? It works well.

I don’t know what these other people are complaining about saying it didn’t work for them. Maybe they were not dealing with actual iron deposits. It worked fantastic for me. I had sprinkler iron deposits on a navy blue car building up for 6-9 months. This stuff worked like a champ. Turned purple when it reacted with the iron just like in all the videos. Rinsed off with water, no scrubbing. Does it stink coming out of the bottle, yes, terrible, but who cares? You’re not using it as perfume. It’s a chemical that safely removes iron deposits from the pained surface of cars. I can accept a little stink as I pour it into a sprayer. I haven’t tried any of the competitors of this product so I can’t compare it to them, but this stuff worked great for me.

I wish I could say the smell, but it passes quickly, on rims it is awesome, spray on and wait 3 minutes, you can agitate if you like, makes the rims look brand new. I have a white F150 with the Star White Metallic Coat. Before using the Iron Decon I thought it looked OK, but I sprayed the whole truck from top to bottom, roof line, windows chrome everything. WOW it looks better than the day I brought it home for the first time. Will not harm clear coat..Does a super job.

I have a white 2022 Chevy Silverado. After winter I noticed quite a few orange/rust colored spots in the paint. Poured this in a pump sprayer, covered half the track, let it sit for five minutes, rinsed, and it worked like a charm. Lots of purple run off and a foul smell but not too bad. Definitely will be purchasing this again.
