I'm wondering if this device would be suitable for handwriting notes too, like the remarkable?

Is a totally different product. Yes, you could make notes (while connected to a pc, is not a stand alone product, needs a pc beacuse is basically a touch screen monitor) but is not its purpose.

Is this the 2020 model? Thanks

If this is the 2020 model, then why in additional information says: Date First Available: 29 July 2018?
