I followed exactly the instructions as they're detailed. Once I replaced the disk in the laptop, everything works perfectly. I extremely recommend this product and his seller :)

Nota bene: recently had my first "Disk Not Ejected Properly" notice in OS X from the drives in the replacement drive dock sent me. And it's repeating. Seller states his tech people are working on the issue. It is not happening as often with the replacement drive dock, which I suspect points to modification of the software controlling drive sleep embedded in the second dock. But the issue persists, so I am riding a star-rating rollercoaster, reducing it to two. My most previous version of review, a five-star one when things were working better, follows: Best customer service I've ever received. When I had problems with a first unit, the seller read my review, contacted me and asked me to provide more technical information about the issue. Result of our email exchanges: I had a bad unit. Seller sent a new one, which works perfectly. Drives mount, sleep, wake without issue. USB 3.0 hub, charging port, and the ability to mount two SATA disks at once makes this a best buy on Amazon with unmatched price and features. Their reaching out to a customer to resolve an issue places them head and shoulders beyond any other seller I've experienced on Amazon. I highly recommend both this drive dock and seller.

Ok it did everything stated and has been a real workhorse. (so really 4.5 stars) To be fair mine is 2+ years old and heavily used. Lots of gaming, music and video production. What gets me is the power switch went out - with out any use. The power switch has been used maybe 5 times in 2 years. So to go out while on is strange. I can tap it and get going but need to replace before thing go south. That said am thinking of getting this new model as I like the features - the clone function was great for fixing my kinds laptops. The hub is wonderful and it has been update to support larger drives.

Whether internal or external, one should expect their drives to stay connected without having to periodically reboot of the computer or dock. My experience using this external drive dock has been anything but care free. The dock does recognize and support 2.5" and 3.5” drives with GPT and MBR partition schemes. The drives transfer data at a reasonable speed. The big problem is when the computer goes to sleep the drives keep spinning unnecessarily for quite a long time. And then after the computer wakes up (either by touching the keyboard or moving the mouse) the drives are either no longer mounted or invisible until either the computer is rebooted or the dock is powered off and on. Unplugging and reconnecting the USB 3 cable doesnt help. If you normally leave your computer on and just let it go to sleep when you walk away for a few minutes, expect to have to perform time consuming reboots. This is not the dock for you.

I very rarely leave reviews and they range from 4-5s when I do. Now I wish there was a zero. This item worked for about a week. Afterwich it stopped detecting 3.5 drives. YES 3.5 drives not detected. At the same time the usb 3(3.0) started to drop signal to connected devices. Flash forward 4 weeks —> it detects nothing. Either on usbbor seated drives. And yes the drives are known good. BAD BAD BAD BEWARE.

I have used this only a few weeks, but have not had any of the problems some other users report. NOTE: You must follow the directions for ejecting drives properly. Highly useful item, and one sweet deal

does what it's made for, no issues so far... used for Windows, MAC and Linux drive cloning.

Works well as a Docking station, the Clone function leaves a bit to be desired, tried to contact seller/ Good luck with that, really wanted to change the sleep function with a software update. Hope someday they will get back to me but will not hold my breath.....Worth 4 stars for what does work well......Thanks much...

Acheté pour remplacé mon dock simple disque, il est très facile à utiliser et les ports usb 3.0 en facade sont très utiles. J'ai pu dégager le hub usb que je gardais sur mon bureau et libérer 1 port sur le pc. La qualité est bonne.

Auto backup y o copia de hdds. Excelente y rápido en el proceso y sin fallos, también accedible desde el pc. La verdad es que yo lo he usado bajo Windows 10 y ha funcionado correctamente y sin fallos. Bueno, bonito y barato. Va perfecto. Compra 100% Recomendada.

Absolutely delighted with this device. The features are brilliant. I have no idea why other docking stations don't have a built-in hub, but they should! Including a charging port is a strike of genius! AND it's still usable as a data port! Obviously, I'm very happy with this thing. :D I'm using this docking station with a laptop that only has a single USB 3 port. I was going to buy a USB 3 hub 'and' a HDD dock, but then I found this device. It was 'everything' I wanted in a single device and it's very compact. This device is of plastic construction and has a decent build quality. It won't blow you away but it feels robust enough to survive normal usage. If you have 2 or more hard drives attached (if you connect more via the hub), it appears as individual drives on the computer. This is extremely useful for file transfers and backups. There's 2 features that is missing, UASP, which can provide "up to" 70% faster HDD performance over USB 3, and Sata 3 (6gbps). Both missing features would significantly impact performance if you intend to use SSDs regularly with this docking station. However, other products that have these, lack the hub feature. For me the hub and charging feature outweighed the bump in performance as I'm just using average hard drives. For less than £10 you can buy a USB 3 to Sata 3 adapter with UASP and you could attach it to the hub of this device to use. So, it's really not a big issue. Ce n'est pas mon premier Dock. Celui-ci est très abouti. => Les plus : - Expédition depuis la Chine et reçu en 48 heures avec Prime. - Le packaging est complet et sérieux (bien protégé) - Prend tous les disques jusqu'à 8 TB (restriction du firmware) - Un HUB USB 3.0 de trois prises, dont la troisième avec une fonction copie rapide en une touche du contenu de ce que vous connecté sur ce port vers un des supports présents dans les slots 3.5 ou 2.5. Très pratique, tout passe sur ce HUB (J'ai essayé : Clé USB 3.0, un autre dock (le même j'en ai acheté 02) 02 disques, recharge téléphone Samung, tablette Samsung.) => Les moins : - Le câble USB 3.0 livré n'est pas long (50 cm) - Un seul interrupteur pour les 02 slots, donc si vous souhaitez ajouter ou enlever un disque, cela coupera les deux. - Éventuellement ventiler les disques comme je l'avais sur un autre dock pour 04 disques. (Sharkoon). - Pas de facture envoyé automatiquement de la part du revendeur (tiers).
