Horribly frustrating
I was going to give these a “meh” review, but after using them for 15 minutes I realize that is far too good a review status. They appear to be made of high-quality materials which I would expect from Makita, however, these have a piss-poor design. The sockets that hold the hex bit are only 1/16 of an inch deep meeting that any lateral force at all causes the bit to pop out of the bit holder. Additionally, even though the magnets are quite strong, and hold the bit securely when using linear force, there is no magnetism imparted to the bit itself, so it has no ability at all to hold screws magnetically to the bit. Avoid these and buy something else.
