They work perfect, but stinks!!
Excellent item, we've been ordering them a lot. Our neighborhood has a lot of new homes being built and naturally the workers leave food and trash all over the jobsites and the flies just keep coming from all directions. Simple setup, super cheap and works great. Just add water, swish around to mix and dilute the pouch and go hang on a tree somewhat away from any open windows and sitting areas. Mine is about 20 feet away from our patio, and on the wrong gust of wind and a hot day you can catch a nice gust of horse and other animal manure which is what attracts all the flies. Works great though and highly recommend it, just don't use indoors lol!

Great product
This product really works well. It caught so many flies over several days but then I noticed the water moving inside the jar. When I took a closer lookโฆit was full of live maggotsโฆso I understand maggots are the larvae stage of fliesโฆbut the trap trapped flies and then the maggots came. Kinda backwards isnโt it? Weโre the flies maybe pregnant? Does anyone know why this happens? I tried Google, but it just tells me maggots turn into flies not the other way around. Iโm very confused. At amy rate, this product is easy to Use, kinda stinky, but I can live with thatโฆitโs so good at catching the flies, I got over the stink.

If you have a lot of flies, spend a few more dollars and get the Captivator traps by Starbar
I have a small farm with 3 horses. I bought these because I was using a Captivator trap and it was working really well, but I needed a few more. These were a few dollars cheaper each. Here is what I found: The pros: They work well to catch flies. Decent price The blue jars means you don't have to stare at dead flies as much The top that lets flies in can be "locked" open or closed The cons: They are much smaller than the Captivator traps so they need to be refilled more frequently Jars are flimsy Caps do not screw on well (but they did seem to hold, even if a little off-kilter) Blue labels makes it harder to see when the trap is full or needs to be re-filled. Stinky is an understatement- but this is true off all traps of this type, and what makes it work. Pro-tip- WEAR DISPOSABLE GLOVES when you handle these. These traps worked pretty well and did catch a lot of flies, but they did not hold NEARLY as many as the Captivator traps that are just about $2 more each. Also, the small size and amount of water means these traps dried out quickly this year and the bait had to be refilled more often.

Works but smells awful
This product works very well-but as some of the reviews mention - it smells so bad! I donโt know how much longer I can keep them hanging around. I have placed it away from doors but - oh the smells keeps on giving ๐ฌ

I almost sent it back
I activated the first one and when after 3 days it did not attract flies, I realized I had mistaken the fill line and out in too much water So I activated a second one. After two days when it did not attract even one fly, I planned to return the stuff thinking that the lure stuff had gone bad. So I put some raw meat in the first ome Then because the devices would not lock to open as instructions said they would, I put a twig in the gap to hold the top open and hung it back in the sun. The next day that one began filling with flies. The next day the second one began attracting a few flies. Since I wanted refillable traps I decided I !might as well keep these and use raw meat as bait and put twigs in the gap to keepthem open. The supermarket traps I used before began working the same day and I was free of flies for weeks least a week before they were full and likely to tear if I tried to reuse them. It was a disappointing experience to have spent so much and had to endure flies for so long before they worked and not have the top click open as it was supposed to. I will not buy this brand again

Awesome Product
Wow this stuff really works and works fast, very simple to use. We have orchards, chickens and cattle so flies can get quite annoying in the summer months. I put 2 of these out and in an hour there were a lot of flies in both. After 2 days both were loaded. But it needs to be away from areas where you relax or kids and pets around. IT REALLY STINKS!!! You do not want to get that liquid on anything, especially your kids or a curious pet. My only dislike about it is the cap. When you open it up it slides down into the closed position unless you hang it up. Also if your yard is small with limited air circulation the smell might be overwhelming.

Smells like death
You cannot place these anywhere you will be because they smell so bad. This defeats the purpose so you still end up with flies all over you and your stuff.
