SKLZ Limited-Flight Practice Impact Golf Balls, 12 Pack,Yellow

These are exactly what I needed for practicing swings in the living room. I've hit them off a mat and accidentally into a few walls and pieces of furniture and no damage at all, not even scuff marks. Super soft but they still give a satisfying feel off the club. I’ve used them outside too for harder hits and they’ve held up really well with no cracks or dents like some of the other practice balls I’ve tried. Bonus points for the mesh storage bag! It makes it easy to keep them all together. I highly recommend if you’re looking to sharpen your swing without breaking anything in your house or need a little gift for another golfer in your life.

I've literally learned to properly strike a golf ball using nothing more than these practice balls as a training aid. They give you very good feedback as to whether your swing is working or whether it needs more work. Like any golf ball, they will sit their and look at you (mockingly) if you are lacking in swing skills. But also, they will gladly recreate the flight of a real ball (in miniature) to a high degree of accuracy. Yes, as you improve, you will start to knock them over your neighbors fence if you live in a standard suburban environment. (30 yards maybe?) And yes, the manufactures color choice is just a plain bad idea - they hide among leaves, grass, sticks and dirt to an astonishing degree. A solid bright fluorescent orange or yellow would be a great improvement. However, even with that drawback they still earn a five star rating. Once these balls start to fly with the proper distance, height and trajectory, you can be confident that a real ball will do the very same.

These balls are a big improvement over traditional whiffle balls, but like all the other people who have done reviews, I can't figure out why the ball is half yellow and half black. I assume for marketing, but it makes it more difficult to see when hitting and when searching for the ball upon retrieval. Otherwise, I like the feel and the flight and it is a much better simulation than the whiffle balls. I would also add that the length of these seems to be 10-15% further than a whiffle ball. Great product and hopeful that they will make these all yellow based on feedback.

I use almost golfballs primarily and was looking for something similar but with more limited flight. These do go shorter that's for sure but judging the swing or making adjustments based on results just not the tool.

Great practice balls hitting off a mat or short dense grass. If the balls get caught in blades of long grass they will not get airborne. Hitting a 7 iron which is typically my 170 club off turf these balls fly about 20 yards. With a 52 degree wedge these practice balls only lost about 5 yards versus a 7 iron. Driver seems to fly a bit further than expected - I only hit one ball with the driver and it went into the neighbors yard about 35 yards out. Spin is impacted when the balls wear but my dogs retrieve them for me and get a few good chomps in so I can’t complain there. If you are slicing or hooking a real ball these will give you similar feedback.

I used these balls for soft toss with my Pony league 7/8 year olds and they worked great. There is no signs of wear and tear on them after one season of use. I don't expect that these will wear out any time soon, and because they are limited flight, they are great for a smaller practice area. I personally use them in conjunction with a hitting net, so there are few that are in danger of really getting lost, but the black side is one minor knock on them. It simply makes it a bit harder to spot them on dark green grass. But all-in-all, it's a great investment for the manager that wants to give his kids a few swings before the game, but doesn't have a BP cage available to give them something more substantial.

These practice balls are very durable and fly true (even in breezy conditions). The weight and design of each is such that they fly equally and accurately (as hit by the club face). The distance is consistent across all clubs with perhaps 5-10 yards difference between short irons and driver/fairway woods. The only issue noted was that the yellow/black molded surface sometimes makes finding them a little harder in the evening (where perhaps a white or other singular color may be more easily seen). I resolved this issue quickly by lightly painting them (just sorta splashed them) with spray fluorescent orange paint (which flakes off but does not damage the club surfaces). I recommend this product for all golfers up to the low-handicap amateur level.

In my opinion, best plastic practice golf balls available. Very robust, limited flight distance as you want, natural flight. Wish they weren't half black - difficult to find when only the black face shows.
