Once I installed the driver onto my tower the extender worked flawlessly. I see why it is returned a lot due the somewhat challenging process to install the driver. Without a stick drive I would have had to bring my computer back to my router and connect to the Ethernet cable to connect to the internet and install the driver. The process only took a few minutes, but most folks are used to plug and play... and this is not that simple!!! The range is amazing. I put my computer into my shop to allow me to order parts and I would guess I'm over 120 feet from my last extender in the house and about 200 feet from my router.

The device is completely plug-and-play, I didn't even need to install the driver from the CD. I just plugged it in and it immediately connected to my network, no problems whatsoever. Even better, this adapter gives me 10 mbps FASTER internet speeds (as measured by Google's speed test tool) than I was previously getting on my computer's built-in network adapter - it's awesome! Overall great quality for an unbeatable price.

I've tried this on three different computers, Windows 10 and 11, no Wi-Fi. Each one says, the Wi-Fi needs a driver, but no driver is available. The packaging provides zero help with this. I would not recommend this at all.

Works but you need to find the driver before wifi will start to work. So this may not suit someone who needs a network adapter for their computer as you WILL need internet connection to download the driver.

I got a motherboard from a friend for the best price imaginable, but unfortunately I needed wifi and bluetooth on that system. I originally bought a TP-Link Nano USB wifi/bluetooth combo dongle, but the sometimes unreliable connection quality made me seek an alternative option. It also seemed to interfere with my mouse and keyboard that are also wireless and plugged in using USB 2.4GHz dongles. Since the radio on that one is inside the dongle, being plugged next to the others likely wasn't great for any of the devices. I took a look at this option and it looked like it would probably perform better. I read the reviews before purchasing and downloaded the driver before plugging the adapter into my computer. So far it has met my expectations. I have a more reliable connection that seems to connect faster upon computer startup than the Nano receiver did, and I don't get any drops or spikes at all anymore. I'm getting about 250 megabit up/down which is about what other wireless devices are getting the same distance away from the router, and better than what I got previously with the smaller adapter. With my experience thus far I'd definitely recommend spending a few extra bucks to get this over the smaller TP-Link, unless you really need it to fit in a tight space. If it suddenly dies or something I'll update the review.

Bought this for my Windows 10 machine to get a better wifi signal. My computer was only getting a 2.4G signal. I plugged this into my usb hub, disabled the computer's wifi connector, and enabled the USB unit. Found the 5G signal and connected with no problems. Tripled my internet speed. I recommend this!

Windows only. Wifi and bluetooth kind of work on Windows, Bluetooth would fail to connect or even see my devices randomly. Do not get this for linux, bluetooth does not work on it and Wifi is very limited I got this mainly to use as an access point for WireShark packet capturing - which this chipset does not support monitor mode, so it was useless for my use case. Build is good, but limited by the chipset and linux OS support make me give this a 3 stars

Working fine as of a few months of use. Edup products tend to last longer for me.
