100% PURE Ultra Lengthening Mascara, Dark Chocolate, 0.35 oz

For about five years now, I've been suffering from dry eyes. It has affected my quality of life because it not only makes my eyes extremely tired and irritated all the time but I was also getting ulcers on my cornea. A nightmare for sure. What does this have to do with mascara? A lot. I have worn mascara about 99.99 percent of my life from age 14 to present day somewhere in the 40s (ha ha). I never had an issue until my eyes became chronically dry. As a result, I have tried and researched MANY mascaras. I've spent so much on eye products, it's mind (and eye boggling pun intended) just to find that right one that wouldn't irritate my eyes. Specifically, I purchased most of my mascaras from Sephora, several from Amazon, and even tried Etsy. I always checked labels to make sure I was only getting the best, least questionable ingredients. Unfortunately, they all failed.I am consciously optimistic, but so far, this 100% Mascara in blackberry has been fantastic. My eyes are feeling more normal and definitely not as tired as when I wore other mascaras. And yes, I have to wear mascara to feel "normal." I know, I know, but we all have our insecurities lol. Mind you, I have an entire, elaborate routine I have to do each day to maintain a semblance of normalcy in my eyes. But this mascara has been a LIFE SAVER for me!!In terms of wear, I love it. The brush is fluffy, the mascara itself smells amazing, it adds a dark natural length to my eyelashes and stays put all day. This mascara will give a beautiful, natural look to your lashes. It's not for those seeking a dramatic look. Regardless, I HIGHLY recommend this mascara for anyone suffering from dry eye. Even if I were miraculously cured, I would still continue to use this mascara. Six stars!!

After years of smearing chemicals on my eyelashes through traditional mascara, I thought it was time to go the natural route, and I'm not sorry I did, especially after finding this great product. You do, however, need to put away your thoughts of what mascara should be, and focus on what this mascara does for you. You're not going to get the giant, gloop-filled eyelashes that look almost fake. But what you will get are beautifully smooth, naturally looking eyelashes with a gorgeous tint of color, without gobs of chemicals.Firstly, the mascara has a great smell, nothing like the drug store brands which can often smell a little oily. The bristles on the brush itself are set in a slightly concave shape, meaning there are longer bristles on either end of the brush, and shorter ones in the center. I personally prefer a fuller brush, but after some practice I've worked out how to apply it better. Slow, longer strokes starting deep at the base of your eyelashes seemed to work better than short fast passes.I'm very impressed with the overall look. Not gunky but beautifully natural so you can define every one of your eyelashes. No mascara can lengthen your eyelashes but they can indeed make them *appear* longer, by coating each lash right up to the tips which are often thin or lighter. 100% Pure's mascara does a great job of that too.It's fairly easy to remove with either water or eye makeup remover, although I'd recommend the latter so you're not rubbing the delicate skin around your eyes. The mascara is surprisingly water resistant throughout the day and I haven't experienced any flaking or smearing. Several times I've gone to bed without removing the mascara and it looked surprisingly good the next day. I was frankly a little shocked at how well it held up overnight - no smears or chunks missing, but certainly not as bold as the previous day.This is a solid product that gives you all the benefits of traditionally made mascara, without the potentially harmful ingredients. I'm convinced more natural ingredients are the way to go and don't plan on returning to brand name mascaras any time soon.

I luckily have decently long lashes so lash lengthening isn't my main focus, but what I was noticing was that my other mascaras (Benefit, Dior and Eyeko brands) were starting to thin out my lashes. Slightly freaked out, I researched natural mascaras and went out on a limb to try this one, especially since it was cheaper than the mascaras that I previously bought, and the benefits seemed pretty hard to pass up. I was super apprehensive about trying a natural mascara and especially one made of fruit pigments (since I have oily to combination skin and smudging is kind of a daily thing for me with every makeup that I use), but I legitimately LOVE this mascara and honestly feel guilty even wearing the ones that I have to use up, since I know they're only hurting my lashes. I've been wearing it for over a week on a daily basis, and while I honestly have not seen flaking and have no issues with the wand or the application of the product, I have only seen the tiniest amount of smudging under my eyes, which is easily remedied by just applying (and baking) a translucent setting powder under your eyes. I've worn this sucker to bed on occasion since I can get lazy at night, and that's truly the only time that I've seen really noticeable smudging, which you can super easily wipe away with a finger. What little smudging that does occur during day time wear (to me) looks kind of cute, as it gives you an under eye smoky look without needing to apply anything else. But that said, the main reason I love this mascara is how it's already effecting my lash volume and health; wearing something that treats my lashes and makes them look darker, fuller and separated is a pretty legit win-win. I haven't noticed it curling or ridiculously lengthening my lashes like the falsies mascara do, but I have noticed that my lashes look way better and healthier both with the mascara on and off. The color is amazeballs and the main reason I'm returning to writ the review is because (1) I'm buying more bottles for future use and (2) I needed to read literally every review to convince me to switch to the natural side, and I honestly think this mascara is the bees knees and shouldn't be kept a secret. GREAT product that stays on all day, never flakes, has the smallest amount of smudging potential that can be fixed, and makes your lashes look gorgeous with and/or without product. Seriously sold for life on this bad boy.

A total online shopping WIN..My new favorite mascara.. omg..its smells great first off.. idk how well others can smell it..but I put it on and the smell lasted a couple hours..and then when morning came..I had very little under my eyes..just a quick rub of my fingers and it was all gone. I also got a whiff of it from maybe my pillow..but while I was in bed. A new coat this morning and it still looks good.. doesn't look like a cover up from the night before. I gave 5 stars cause it's awesome but the brush is kinda large in diameter and is slightly goopy on the brush..but as long as you are patient and careful it goes on very nice. The sleeve container it shipped in was super cute on top of the very pretty applicator container. It didn't come in the clear plastic sucked to the cardboard nor a rectangle box. Such a nice touch. I haven't tried being in the rain or crying but it holds up well with my day to day it seems. Will most def be buying again..and trying the other scents..chocolate is awesome.. update.. not waterproof.. lol. And be careful to let it dry before u start doing things. It will get on ur lower lashes and above your lashes ..I dont suggest them on lower lashes..it will get on ur skin and make u look like a racoon. Apply with patients..have patients to let it dry..dont apply to lower lashes..and it's great. I still love it. If your like me and want a chemical free life this mascara will make you happy.

I am so disappointed. I wanted to love this so much! I have a lot of skin issues, to include eczema on my eyes and have been trying to get away from harsh make up. This doesn’t aggravate my skin, but, within a few hours I have raccoon eyes. I even tried it with a mascara primer. Same result. Wish I could get a refund. I’ve worn it 4 times now, really hoping for a different result, but still have black eyes where it’s run. :(

I’m giving this mascara a mixed rating because of the quality of the one that was shipped. Perhaps I got an old batch, but the one that I received was much drier than the Black Tea mascara I’ve come to know and love.However, when it is fresh, it is by far my most beloved mascara. From the look, to the natural ingredients, to the non irritating formula, I would say this is a must have for anyone.When you first coat your lashes, the pigment provides a nice, dark gloss. It is not too goopy, and lashes have a natural looking lift; no spidery effect. I always get the black tea color, which pops against my brown eyes.I was looking for a formula that had all natural ingredients. I’m always worried about putting harmful things on or inside my body, and the last thing I wanted was bad stuff near my eyes.I didn’t have to worry about that though with this product. In fact, my normally sensitive eyes were unaffected by this mascara. I’ve also noticed my eyelashes grow more with this product. Taking off this mascara, my eyes don’t burn when some of the product gets in them, which reassured me of the products natural quality.The product shipped this time is not an accurate depiction of the amazing quality the product normally has.

After finishing the entire tube down to the last bits I could manage to scrape out, here are my observations:1. This stuff smells fantastic -- it smells like something I want to eat. My guy said the same of it.2. The purple color is very dark which made me happy. I didn't want a Halloween-costume kind of color.3. Because the product is all natural, it will eventually end up on your skin after hours of wear. It will run in the rain or after crying. That never phased me. I was much happier to have a product that was so easy to take off at the end of the day. I never needed special eye makeup remover. I could just wash my face as I normally do. If during the day I noticed that some mascara was on the skin under my eyes, I just wet my finger and rubbed it off. Easy peasy!4. I was very happy with the longevity of the product. Toward the end, was it as smooth as when it was brand new? No, of course not. But it wasn't filled with chemicals or preservatives to get that result either. Toward the end, I added some eye drops to the tube and mixed it up. That helped me get out every last bit of mascara.I'd buy more right now, but I'm trying to go even more au natural and minimalistic in my beauty/personal care.

I never wear make up. Never. Not until now. Why? Because it's stuffed full a ton of crap that is just murder on the skin and the body. Plus, it irritates the you know what out of me! I end up rubbing it off within hours. I can't tell you how many times I scrapped mascara off my lashes with my finger nails just so I could rub my eyes without looking like a raccoon.This stuff is AWESOME. They really got it right! It's not too heavy and never looks clumpy. I apply a coat, let it dry, and do one more for a dramatic look. I LOVE the purple - I have green eyes so this is a good look for me. I already have long lashes that curl up so I don't know much about lengthening or curling. But my lashes are light coloured at the tips so mascara is a must for any look! When I wear make-up I use a lot of natural tones and don't wear it super heavy. I just love this mascara for that. Since there are no clumps and it doesn't feel heavy it adds just that hint of accent without being over the top.I love the ingredients (or lack thereof!) The color is great. The feel is fantastic. It isn't irritating at all and once dry it never smudges or rubs off for me all day. But I can take it off with a gentle baby wipe. Looking forward to trying more products from this company! I'm also a Pacifica girl as of late and am happy I can actually wear make-up!
