Works great as a stopper for a zipline
I got my 8 year old son a zipline for his birthday and he loves it. His 10 year old sister loves it too. I got the zipline from Hearthsong and although the zipline itself was great, the rubber stopper that came with it was horrible. Once you went down the zipline once the stopper would go all the way to the end and the next time you went down the zipline, there was a sudden stop. Huge safety hazard. We had to continually manually move that stopper after each ride to avoid anyone getting hurt. What a pain. Then I got this stopper and it works great. The coil retracts on impact and then extends back to its original length for the next ride. It slows the kids down nicely and no more manual intervention. Now they can play independently. I highly recommend this stopper with any zipline or similar ride device. In the video, you can see the stopper at the end of the ride.

Zip line happy ending
Our zip-line kit did not come with a spring. After the initial install we noticed that the rider would come to an abrupt stop, their bodies would swing pretty high and they'd have to hold on tight or be launched down the hill! It was fun for me but terrifying to think of my kids trying it. I ended up taking it down and ordering this product and was so happy that I did. Not only does it slow my children down it is able to slow down full grown adults and stop them safely. It was super easy to install and has taken repeated trips without showing any wear ot tear. Great product! I would also recommend ordering a seat that attaches to the handlebar. It helps the kids to keep their feet out of underbrush and takes the weight off of their hands.

Significant improvement over zipline brake included with kit
Our zipline kit (from a different manufacturer) came with a piece of thin rubber strap which did almost nothing to slow down small children, much less adults. We needed something to replace it so the zipline wasn't a swinging death trap. This did the trick almost perfectly. Slows the kids down much more gently but still plenty effectively. My only concern is that the band clamps it came with don't tighten down enough that it grips the cable, instead leaving it free to move about the length of the cable. This isn't really an issue in our case, because the brake butts up against the cable ties, which aren't moving. I would feel better if it clamped tightly to the cable, but am not even certain that was the intent based on the scant instructions, which are another minor complaint. For those reasons, I dock one star and give it a solid 4.

Works great
Works great but bear in mind, if you're really yeeting your child(ren), 6 ft isn't long enough to keep em off the tree the zipline is anchored into. I added a 2 ft length of pvc pipe that i drilled a hole through the cap at each end and and used that to create more distance. **EDIT**. It's worth noting also that i used some massive 3/4 turn buckles that are pretty long. Overall distance from eyebolt to start of the brake has gotta be close to 10 feet. But again, im REALLY sending my kids along this line. I would also highly recommend going to e rigging for BIG drop forged 1 piece all connected eye bolts. We got some basic ones thay we thought would work from home depot but the whole thing yanked em apart

Added for extra stopping capacity
Added this spring brake to our existing zipline. Totaling 13' of braking on our 100' zipline. Works greats to slow the kids down enough that they aren't getting "bucked" around at the end. Worth the money for safety.

Bought this spring to add to a basic zipline that I bought on Amazon: Hyponix Zipline Kit for Kids and Adults – 100FT, 150FT Highly recommend buying this spring to add to a zipline that came with just one spring. This spring alone as a stop is not enough. If you bought a zipline with no stopper spring I would recommend buying two of these.

Works great.
Easy to install. Our zip line is long and fast so we used 4 springs.

Prefer the bungee brake with this as a backup
We have a 130 ft. 6% slope zipline. We started with the $115 bungee brake kit from ziplinegear.com. The bungee brake works great but has several downsides. You have to have another pole or tree perpendicular to the zipline and a bungee running between that and the line. The rubber block the bungee attaches to wore grooves after one season which let it rotate some and get stuck in the stretched position. If someone goes on it when stuck they slam pretty hard but no one has been hurt because there is a wood disc seat that keeps them on and a stop block 5 ft. from the end so they don't hit the pole. We wanted to replace the bungee and remove the pole it attaches to so we ordered one of these 6.5' spring brakes. One wasn't adequate at all, even for my 8 year old. I added another so there are two and that still wasn't a great landing. Kids swing pretty high and bounce the line hard. I put the bungee brake back on and left the two spring breaks on and that's actually the best landing we've had. If flings the rider half way back up the zipline without too much bounce and the bungee block is not likely to lock because the springs push it back. And if the bungee fails we have a nice backup. In short, if you have to choose one between bungee and a spring brake, chose the bungee brake and know you could have sticking issues. If you go with springs, know you'll need more than one unless your zipline is quite small and you will likely still have a hard bouncy swing ending. And if you don't mind all the cost and trouble, do both as we've done which gives a nice landing and a little more ride as it pushes you back up the line.

Stainless. top quality product that was available at the time of purchase. withstood years of use and seems it will hold well for at least a decade of ziplining

El resorte es muy débil, y no funciona como freno para tirolesa como se promociona (ni siquiera cuando la tiroles va muy lenta). Se conprome y llega demasiado fácilmente hasta su tope! No gasten su dinero en éste producto!

This spring is really rubbish and I wish I had spent double on a proper one. It barely slows down my 8 year old, yet alone my 14 year olds or me. Unless you have zipwire that moves at walking speed (when you don't really need a spring) then save you money and get a proper , thick, heavy duty one. I wish I had taken heed to the few lower started reviews

Works as expected, we have used this for one season so far and we have been very pleased. Both children and adults have used this and it creates a gentle top and a nice spring back as well

Tyrolienne 3/8" sur 50 mètres. J avais déja acheté un modèle similaire ayant un bushing d acier qui est excellent. Mais celui ci sans bushing ne fait rétracte pas après compression. Non recommandé
