This teen romantic comedy is a modern-day re-telling of the classic fairy tale. Hilary Duff stars as Sam Martin, a sweet but awkward high-school girl who has been suffering since the death of her father: the diner he owned now belongs to his thoroughly wicked widow, Fiona (Jennifer Coolidge), a former waitress who now makes Sam do all the hard work, mopping floors and washing dishes. School is no picnic for Sam, either: the most popular girl, the rich, pretty and bitchy Shelby (Julie Gonzalo) makes her life a misery. Things take a turn for the better when Sam loses her mobile phone and it is found by a mystery guy. The pair embark on a romance conducted entirely by text message and email. Don't buy from this seller. This is a Region 2 disc and won't play on most players in US. It says no were on description that this is a Region 2 disc and won't play in USA. Rip off, beware!

I have received this item!?!
Quite a while ago. It's ridiculous that it says(in my orders) that this is on the way, I've got the dvd, received ages ago. It's a very clever portrayal of 'cinderella', modern and up-to-date, and played beautifully . Just a very enjoyable rom-com

A Feel good Girly Movie
I was 12 when this movie came out I love to watch a mixture of Romcoms I love the movies Legally Blonde , and Mean Girls and I also love the Other Woman a more recent one from 2014 staring Cameron Diaz Leslie Mann I love Cameron Diaz as a actress . I got this looking for a feel good movie to watch too cheer me up the story is Seventeen Year old Samantha Sam’ Montgomery is a waitress at a diner in the San Fernando Valley run by her stepmother called Fiona who is played by Jennifer Audrey basically she is very much a Cinderella her dad died when she was about 9 he would read stories to her about princes she also lives with her twin stepsisters Gabriella and Brianna , this stars Hilary Duff , and Chad Micheal Murray it is a story about a girl who is trying to find the love of her life , she is about to find her prince , it is probably not going to win any big movie rewards but it is so funny and it is a movie which will cheer you up if you like if you want to try a movie and you love Romcoms and love the 2000’s which had legendary romcoms like 13 going on 30 , Legally Blonde and also another classic Failure to Launch starring Sarah Jessica Parker I think this is definitely one to had too the collection , of films .
