Bigger than I expected. But in a good way.
So far I really like the 6". This vise is huge. I have an rf30 bench top clone mill by enco with 5/8" t slots. The original bolts to mount it are 5/8" diameter but the head of the bolt was too large to fit in the t slot. So I used my clamp kit to clamp the vise down, placed the bolts in the vise on some parallels and milled about 1/16" off each side, now they fit perfect. I have only milled a few things in it but it seems to hold very tight. Only time will tell, if I have problems I'll update my review.

and it's a good deal for what you get
Very coarsely finished, with casting sand still embedded in the internal cavities of most of the castings. There are also a number of relatively small but present voids in the ground surfaces, though none in any of the sliding faces I could see. The machining on every non visible surface is also very rough. After a complete disassembly, cleaning, and breaking all the sharp edges with a file, it looks to be a completely serviceable, if low quality vise. OTOH, for the price that's exactly what I expected, and it's a good deal for what you get. If you're ok doing some manual cleanup, this looks to be a fine vise.

Decent vise
Surprisingly heavy duty for the money and more than adequate for a home machine shop. Would be 5* if there weren’t pitting in the forging nothing that can’t be stoned flat

Good vice, works well
Good vice, works well. The metal is pretty soft, so you do have to be careful about chips getting under the jaw. I bought 2 of them and they were not matched height, so I disassembled them and milled them and then scraped them to match. Still, worthwhile and good quality for the money.

Needs to be deburred and cleaned feels a little Sandy. I did hone the base.
A lot better than expected. Seem accurate enough for my skill level for now. Just teaching myself the trade and didn't want to mill into a$700 Kurt. No index mark for angle so I used a chisle to mark it after I had it trammed in.

good for its price
needs a lot of adjustment for accuracy.

Well made.
Very nice vice appears to be well made copy of a Kurt. Less than 0.001 runout. The keys are too wide for a Bridgeport table so you have to mill a little to fit. Would recommend this to a friend.

this thing is big and heavy. However, the paint finish and where they stored it caused rust to build up on it. Not thrilled about that.
