## Features

- 【Professional White Corundum Kit with Precise Dimensions】 The SHAN ZU set includes two separate non-toxic, food-safe white corundum stones measuring precisely 18x6x2.8 cm. The 1000 grit is ideal for basic blade restoration, while the 5000 grit polishes the edge to professional razor-sharp precision
- 【Water Use & 15° Angle Guide for Simple Sharpening】 Simply soak the stones in water for 5 to 10 minutes before use—no expensive sharpening oil required. Suitable for both beginners and experienced chefs, the included angle guide maintains a constant 15-degree angle during movement, ensuring complete control and safety
- 【Natural Rubberwood Box & Care Tips】 The handcrafted rubberwood storage box provides elegant and orderly storage. To prevent moisture build-up and mold, it is recommended to air-dry the stones and wooden base completely in a ventilated place before storing them in the box
- 【Flattening Stone for Proper Surface Maintenance】 With prolonged use, the water stone may wear unevenly. The included flattening stone allows you to easily restore the flat surface of the sharpening stone by gently rubbing it with water to maintain maximum efficiency
- 【Non-Slip Base & Universal Compatibility for Most Knives】 Silicone non-slip strips and the sturdy base prevent any movement on working surfaces. Perfect for most knives including kitchen knives, Santoku knives, chef knives, kitchen shears, and chisels (Not suitable for serrated or ceramic knives)
- 【Ready-to-Use Accessory Set for Professional Maintenance】 A well-designed kit for the regular maintenance of any steel blade. Includes 2 water stones (18x6x2.8 cm), a non-slip base, an angle guide, a flattening stone, and a rubberwood box (21.5 x 10 x 7 cm) for a complete and organized solution

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Why is it called a "wet-stone"? Should it be wetted with water for use?**
A: As some of the other answers have alluded to by correctly spelling it "whet stone". "Whet" means to sharpen or hone, hence it is a "sharpening stone". It will whet without water or oil (it is simply an abrasive stone), wetting it simply prevents heat build up due to friction.

**Q: Is this whetstone worth buying? How does it work for Kitchen knife**
A: My kitchen knives are the sharpest they have ever been. You need to use both sides of the stone for a perfect finish (20-30 mins a knife) but it's very therapeutic. I'm very happy with my purchase.

**Q: Don't whetstones need to be soaked for at least 12 hours?**
A: Perhaps no idea. I did it for 20mins and I can cut through silk (probably). But if you want to soak it for 12 hours you can. I may have when I first got it, but can not remember. I just followed the insctructions. Either way its calming sharpening.

**Q: Do instructions come with this?**
A: There is a little leaflet in the box, but that won’t teach you how to sharpen with a stone like this. If you’ve never used a stone like this, I suggest you look it up on YouTube. There are hundreds of videos on how to do it... once you’ve tried it a few times, you’ll get the hang of it. It’s not that difficult :-)
