I was a little scared to be trying new candy, as I am not someone who typically tries new things. However, I was pleasantly surprised by how good these were! Not only are they amazing value for their price in bags that are filled, but the taste and quality of the candy itself was wonderful! I cannot believe I had forgotten what green apple candy tasted like, cause the moment I tasted a piece I was taken back. It's the perfect mix of sweet and sour that balances out your taste buds, really tastes like that classic flavor!

Claeys Licorice Hard Candy is pure nostalgia! The bold, classic licorice flavor instantly reminds me of my dad and the sweet tradition we shared. Every piece feels like a trip down memory lane. If you love old-fashioned black licorice, these are a must-have!

I've been craving some anise candy. This tastes great but I am disappointed that it has Red 40 coloring added. Red 40 is so bad for you and what's the need to make the candy red? As of June 22, 2025, Red 40 is banned in the United States. It will be interesting to see what they use next if they think this candy needs to be red. I'm going to try the Sperlari brand next because it doesn't have any food coloring additives.

I grew up enjoying anise. My Italian heritage meant that at Christmas time I would enjoy many anise flavored treats. One of these treats was anise candy. Claey's anise drops have an authentic anise flavor that brings me back to my youth.There are still some holiday treats that have anise in them but the anise flavor often seems muted. The anise flavor in this candy is near perfect. I taste anise when I treat myself to a drop. I wish the anise flavor was a tiny bit stronger but it is better than anything I have recently tried. The only real problem with this anise candy is that it is hard to limit myself to a few.
