Review: Quality for price. - why 5 stars? I live in a small studio in NY and it keeps it cold. It is excellent quality, I have had it for almost 3 years I like it very cold so I have it in front of the bed and I can have it run continuously by leaving the bathroom door open. I have run it continuously for up to 14 hours. It's mostly easy to clean. On the back bottom it's easier to clean if you let at least a small layer of dust. This type get a bit hot but this was more than normal, it was the hose that had some damage I didn't notice which was on because I needed a longer one. I also replaced the window cover for a soft material one and it works well.

You’ll need a 2.4 GHZ WiFi connection. I had to split my Xfinity modem to have both a 2.4 and a 5 GHZ. Once I split the modem up via the Xfinity app, the fan’s WiFi found the 2.4 signal and connected fairly easily. You’ll also need the SmartLife app. Another hiccup we’ve run into is, and very rarely but it does happen, but the unit will be running cooling mode and then all of a sudden it will turn off the compressor and the fan. It’s almost like it turns itself off. It’s possible that once the room reaches the cooling temp setting, it may do that. We keep ours at 60. The unit with restart itself fairly quickly, within 5-10 seconds, but it’s just strange. The instructions don’t list that as a possibility, and customer service didn’t really know why it was doing it either. Overall, this is a really great unit for the price as it cools very well for our bedroom which is around 195 square feet. We live in a very hot and humid area of the US, and this does a great job in the heat.

**Q: There is an upper and lower drain port, which one can I attach the hose to permanently to allow continuous draining of water accumulated? Why 2 drains**
A: It may be for convenience. I'm not sure. But I do know this now. After waking up to my floor soaked I found that it's water retention is caused by the condenser as well & has to be drained. I had asked if I don't use the dehumidifier do I drain it. I didn't consider the condenser & the fact mine pretty much has run 24/7 since I got it.

**Q: Can someone explain the set-up as it pertains to the hose…does it require access to a specific type of window? Can you use it without the hose set up?**
A: It will fit in any window either vertically or horizontal but the hose has to exhaust the air!  There is no way it will work to condition the air if it does not exhasut it.  If it is used as a dehumidifier, then water that is removed has to go somewhere too so, there is a tray that allows it to be used that way as well

**Q: Can you put screen on your air duct so no leaves or animals go on the unit? Would doing this affect the performance?**
A: Mine is up against the existing window screen and creates no problems.

**Q: what is the warranty on the compressor ?**
A: Buy the extended warranty.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ The Perfect Choice for an RV

I have a 2017 Bighorn fifth wheel with two 15,000 BTU roof AC units. Living in the coach is okay until the outside temps reach 100 degrees; after that, it's no fun. Because we had to live in the coach this summer while waiting for our new Tucson home to be completed, I quickly saw the need for more AC capacity. Rather than have the dealer install a third 15,000 BTU roof AC unit (about $3,700), I decided to order this 10,000 BTU Serenelife portable unit. At only 57 pounds, it's not too heavy to get in the RV and the compact dimensions were an added plus. A friend and I rigged up a custom exhaust plate for one of the windows and that was it, installation complete. I was worried whether the amp draw would throw a circuit breaker inside the coach but it never happened. Long story short: After four months in temperatures that twice reached 117 degrees, this Serenelife portable unit performed flawlessly. I never turned it on until the outside temps hit 102 or 103. It was able to drop the inside temps from 86–87 degrees to 82 degrees every time. And believe it or not, it's relatively quiet. Be sure to watch your appliance usage with running three AC units — do not use your toaster, water heater, or microwave until later. If you are thinking about buying a portable AC for your RV or small room in your home then guys, this is definitely the one. Just my 2 cents.
