Love my new wok!
The media could not be loaded. Update: I have now used this wok several time and most recently I tried making a omelot with it. The on that turned out great and it did not stick to the wokI cook a lot of Chinese food and Asian stir frys. I have always just used a skillet and I've been wanting a traditional wok. I went searching for woks on Amazon and the traditional woks are $80 to $100. During my search I found this wok and was very intrigued by it because of the hammered finish. After some searching around, I decided to take a chance on this wok. I'm so glad that I did. This wok heats up super fast. nothing sticks to the non-stick hammered surface. Another good thing about the hammered non-stick surface inside the walk is that it cleans up so easily. The lid is very sturdy and has a little hole to let steam out. I love the wood handle and it has an eye hook at the end if you want to hang it. This is my new go-to Skillet and I'm going to give an omelet a try on it this weekend. And oh yeah another good thing about this wok is that you don't have to oil it when finishedb using it. I'm so glad that I this wok on Amazon.

SO HEAVY!!!
If I had to do it all over again, I probably wouldn't buy it. I use a wok a LOT. I constantly make stir-fries and even separate my proteins/vegetables before placing them together. I'll even continue to use the same wok to prepare multiple dishes, that's the best part about them. It heats up really fast and gets evenly distributed all the way around. And I LOVE the wooden spoon that comes with the purchase. Now the negatives: 1. The wooden handle is already starting to crack a bit, I suppose it's cause it's wood and the core is metal attached to the wok. I haven't owned it for too long and I'm already worried about such a major part of the design. 2. I wish there was a handle on the opposite side of the handle on the wok. It's a fairly large wok and I need two hands to carry it sometimes and it would be so much more practical if there was another handle. 3. I can't tell if it's the handle on the wok that makes it really heavy to hold or the wok itself but it IS SO HEAVY. Whenever I try to dish out servings into a platter, I can't hold the wok for much longer before my hand/arm starts to shake. I've never had that experience with other woks I've had in the past but it's crazy how heavy this is. Overall, the positives outweigh the negatives and I'm happy to keep it but I will be on the lookout for something that solves all the issues I have with this wok.

Excellent carbon steel wok with all the right features.
I love this wok! Buying a second wok is more difficult than the first because a wok has a surprising number of elements to consider such as choosing between cast iron and carbon steel, non-stick and non-seasoned, cover or no cover, choosing between handle types including one or two handles, insulated or non-insulated handles, and the ability to remove a handle for oven baking. Most cooks use a flat bottom wok versus rounded. Price is nearly always a decision point. This wok does it all- large enough to cook nearly everything you want, the heat control is excellent, the non-stick surface is perfect, it has a removable handle, and a high quality glass cover with built in steam vent. It's light, is stable on my kind of stove, and you can control the heat very well. Definite strong recommendation for this unit.

A wok with good even heat cooking
This is my first carbon steel wok. Previously I was using a regular non-stick pan. First thing I notice is the weight of this wok which is quite heavy. The cooking surface is dimpled which is suppose to help with the non-stick. One thing I want to point out is mine had some small black particles on the cooking surface that I had to scrape off before use. So make sure you clean it well when you get it.Now lets talk about the cooking. I can tell you it cooks so differently than a regular nonstick. The steel really spreads the heat throughout the entire surface. I can tell it cooks very evenly. I made a stir fry chicken and a chow mein. Both turned out great. Cooking time was fast and the deep side allow for cooking large portions . Cleaning is also very easy with a sponge and soap.

Great deal for 14 inches carbon steel wok
I was looking for a 14 inch carbon steel wok with this shape. This wok heats up very quickly and evenly. If you want the nonstick last, don't over heat the wok too long. After few months using this wok, this is a go to wok for all my family cooking. The lip is very useful when you want to keep the moisture in the food. I am planning to use it until the non-stick wear out. Then, I can strip out the non-stick coating, and season it like a regular wok. The wok is very durable, and it will last forever. I also like the two handles on this so I can carrying it easily. It is a great deal with the lid and the wood spatula.

GREAT Wok! Works on induction.
Bought this wok as a replacement for one that didn't work on my new induction stove. It cooked evenly, food was easy to move to the side without it sliding back to the middle. I love the way it looks, and the clear lid. The spatula is perfect to use on this wok as well. Nothing stuck, and it cleaned up quick and easily. I did have a small issue with the handle, but I reached out to the seller with a description and some photos and they figured out a solution for me, and gave me a $10 credit for the inconvenience! The only thing I would mention is I think it did scratch my glass stovetop, so be very careful about that!! Would absolutely recommend this wok!

Not a good idea for the metal part of handle
I have to say it is a good quality product! It is heavy but I know it’s because of the good material.the reason I don’t give five stars is because the design is not perfect.the handle should connect the wok completely instead of the metal part.when you cooking the metal part is super hot! Not safe at all.it burns my hand a couple of times. I think if no change with the handle.once someone is burned the company might get involved in law suit.
