Hide and Drink has excellent ideas for useful items. I have several of the things made by the and am always satisfied. They may be a little rough for some but they are very sturdy and well made. They arrived quickly and cost is appropriate. This case is much like a larger one I have with a zipper, but this is compact enough to fit in my front pocket. It is just what I wanted.

I'm into this brand, Hide and Drink. They have other pocket cases that measure 4" wide and are shown holding Field Notes. This case is 4" wide. I figured it would work.I was wrong.It was a real struggle to barely wedge a single book into the front section, and when it's all the way in it still sticks out a good deal. Adding a single pen instantly made the book bow out at a horrible angle. Plus, the pen is tough to reach below the top of the book! I'm sure one of their other products will work better for me, but just not this one.Pros: Quality feels nice, looks just like I expected, great value for the priceCons: I don't know what this front pocket is supposed to hold, but it's not a Field Notes

Great product. Great construction and appears like it will hold up to years of use. Could b a bit longer to better cover longer writing instruments
