Good coffee machine, small it doesn't take much space. Nice and smart design

My husband and I love this machine. Our previous filter coffee machine was too bulky, needed filter papers, with a thermal jug that held up to about 10 cups. There's just the two of us, and we have just one coffee each, every morning. Also, the water tank was fixed, which became a real pain for cleaning and accessing. We decided to go for a Pod machine so we could have really good quality coffee, one cup fresh each time. I know, I know...... the pods are expensive in comparison to loose coffee, but crikey, you get what you pay for! These virtuo pods are big, and there's a very good range of strengths and sizes. We both agree, it's the best cup of coffee we've ever had. We were nervous it might be too big and unsightly (it's quite long) , but certainly not, it's very neat indeed. We have absolutely no regrets.

Appears to be good quality however there is an issue with the machine sadly, it would appear to disconnect itself from the account / app you register it to. That issue aside be prepared to buy into the entire nespresso ecosystem as I am yet to find any particular pod or cup size that you can use on a regular coffee cup. So for the fault in connection and the essential up selling for the nespresso echosystem I can only give it 4 stars, I would give it 3 stars but some of the coffee is actually quite nice.

I purchased the Nespresso Vertuo in May 2025 and have now returned it to Amazon as defective. Fortunately, Amazon offered a full refund. Would I recommend this machine? No. When it worked, it was excellent. Easy to use with a great selection of coffees. However, buying this machine is a real gamble. As many others have reported, these machines appear to suffer from numerous faults and a disappointingly short lifespan. I only took the risk because it was on offer and came with a large number of free pods. What is most disappointing is the complete lack of support from Nespresso. When the machine stopped working, I contacted their 'Coffee Specialist' customer support team. After a short video call, they confirmed the machine was faulty. They told me they could repair it if I sent it in, but this would take around 2–3 weeks. The alternative was to accept a pre-loved replacement, although they admitted they didn’t actually have any available. I ended the call by requesting a brand-new replacement as soon as possible. I then spoke to a second 'Coffee Specialist', who explained that because I bought the machine via the Nespresso Store on Amazon, their warranty does not cover issuing a new replacement. I would therefore need to go through Amazon for either a replacement or a refund. So, the faulty machine has gone back to Amazon, and I’ve purchased a different coffee machine, and it isn’t a Nespresso. I am now left with more than 40 Nespresso pods I recently ordered directly from Nespresso, which are now completely useless—unless I decide to get creative and hang them on my Christmas tree as baubles.

I started my coffee brewing experience many years ago with my first Tassimo machine before trying a Dolce Gusto (terrible) and my first Nespresso machine. I then thought I should follow the trend and push on to a bean to cup machine (I’ve had 2 so far - a Delonghi and Phillips) but quickly realised that unless I train as a Barista or like 10 different types of coffee I am wasting my time and money. I also have quite a compact kitchen and when it comes to the choice between my Ninja Airfryer and a huge coffee machine there is only ever going to be one winner! So here I am back to buying a Nespresso machine and I opted for this one after looking at the reviews and also being swayed by the deal price on Amazon. Within minutes of making my first brew I knew I’d made the right choice - the coffee was easily as nice, if not smoother, than my last few years in the bean to cup world. No emptying of beans, cleaning wands etc so I was really happy. As for the machine - quite compact, a little noisy (all machines are BTW) but really easy to use, maintain, fill with water etc and looks really neat on the worktop. The sample pods provided are all really lovely - I like a mug so, if using the smaller pods, just make my own version of a flat white. Other reviews seem to be complaining about the heat of the water so lets address that one - all machines, including bean to cup, will never make your brew as hot as a kettle, this is just a fact. If, like me, you do like your coffee hot, consider buying a milk frother/warmer and use that alongside your Nespresso machine. This makes my brews the perfect temperature when I use the milk heating function. Finally, make sure you sign in and register your machine on the Nespresso website - you can connect this machine to the app and review all the pods that are available to find your perfect brew. It was bigger than expected as we had a small Nespresso machine that died on us. It takes a bit of time to get used to the cup sizing and which pod you will use. Note that the coffees for Vertuo are not the same as the smaller pods. There are U tube videos that are good and well presented to get you started. We are not keen on using glass cups and the patterns that you can see with the "frothy" milk. Where it is good is making a mug of coffee :-) No need to use two or more capsules to get an americano.

Very happy with this coffee machine, being a bit of a coffee head I love my coffee and for me the coffee out of the Nespresso is really nice. I bought the this after going on holiday in a lodge in Yorkshire, they had one there and after trying a few of the pods I had to buy one. I know coffee machines can be quite expensive but the Nespresso Vertuo is very reasonable for quality of coffee it makes, also I find the Nespresso company and after care outstanding, so yes definitely recommend by me. It is not an overly large machine that takes over the kitchen or wherever you put it and is very easy on the eye, is easy to use and clean. Having said all this, I am now going to make a coffee 😌.

Love the large water tank! 3x mugs or 4x cups in one go. The mug rest is much more efficient / better designed too. I was originally buying a spare, but it is in pride of place while my 1x mug version is relegated to the storage cupboard.

Handhabung nicht perfekt War bei Anlieferung total verdreckt musste sie zuerst reinigen, habe zum ersten Mal von Nespresso so eine schlechte Maschine bekommen, bin total enttäuscht werde mit überlegen nochmal eine Nespresso zu kaufen mfg Bernd Rothmund

I never received the 12 x welcome capsules.

Me parece UNA VERGUENZA que lo vendan en España con un enchufe del Reino Unido ( de 3 patillas ) y no lo avisen. Intentaré buscar un adaptador y si no lo encuentro, haré la devolución....
