Odor Defense Carbon Prefilter for Air Purifier, 2-Pack, Cut to fit most air purifiers

I use this in conjunction with another reusable filter. I have a reusable filter where this is able to fit on top of the regular filter. It works great at removing dust and smell. It's thin enough that I can fit it into a reusable filter. But, sturdy enough that it helps in keeping the frame sturdy. There's been no issue with airflow, and I've had it for almost a year now. I wouldn't use this as the primary air filter. I would use this in conjunction with another air filter. Just cut it to size and stick it in the frame. Great for the money.

My wife has severe allergies. We have a merv13 filter, but some odors still get through. This carbon filter, although it was missing the gizmos to attach, eliminated, for now, the odor.

Microwave combined with oven fan was venting into my apartment kitchen. Got this to install near the exhaust. Seems to work though odors from food prep still linger

I purchased these at my local home-improvement store.(6\15\21) I paid nearly the same price however I only got one container, and the dimensions of these are slightly smaller. Through Amazon, I got two for nearly the same price. I have been using these in front of my furnace filter for two days now. It is amazing how much ick it has removed from the air! These are large and you can cut them to fit your intake. Our furnace’s filter is a 16X20 ( Filtrete 2500 HEPA ) but our air cleaning machines filter’s are 3 different sizes. I used the old, worn prefilters as template’s, and traced them to cut to fit each air cleaner filter. This prefilter material is slightly thicker and more rigid than the old, so it took a bit of finessing to make them fit. I still have enough material remaining from my 1st purchase ( the home improvement store purchase I kept to support them ) I will be able to cut more air filter replacements. I hope this helps

I cut to fit on a Levoit Vital 200s. I taped them to the hepa filter with painters tape. They work fantastic. Wiped out neighbors smoke in half the time it would have taken without it. I got a good OEM smoke hepa filter and saved some money by taping the Filtrete to them. The Filtrete is thick.

This filter is large enough to fit over a 20x20 box fan, and it makes a nice addition to a "comparetto cube" DIY air filter. It does add a bit of air resistance though, so you'll get a bit less airflow with the carbon air filter in place. It's debatable whether this style of air filter helps with covid-19, but it definitely helps with a stuffy basement room.

This is the best carbon odor removing filter that I've used (I previously used WEB Absorber Odor Control Air Filter). I was surprised by the filter's thickness and density. I first added it to a "Box Fan Air Filter" and immediately noticed a difference. I pleased with filter's performance that I also added it my Air Purifier, and Window Air Conditioner. The material is very easy to "cut to fit".

thick/stiff so not going to warp/bunch up as you slide it in i don’t believe however we did decide to add a drop of hot glue on the four edges of the pre-filter tray to avoid any hassle in future when i take it out to clean it a little. you can very well buy these cut to fit carbon sheets from no brand names that will work too at a cheaper price if you don’t want a 2 pack but, for price of a 2-pack and given each sheet will make at least 4 pre-filters, these are still worth getting especially if you have cats.. we have tried other carbon sheets in past with our ionizer, these are tied in first place as far as rigidness and thickness goes. 4 stars since not enough time to see how well these last.

Out of all the carbon filter I tried, this is the best cut to fit carbon filter to get rid of Tobacco smoke smell. I now put it on my ceiling vent to prevent my neighbor's 2nd hand tobacco smoke from entering my unit. They are super heavy smoker and my apartment used to be filled with smoke thanks to the ceiling vent in my bathroom. I replace the carbon filter frequently so that the smoke doesn't a chance to make it to my unit. I tried other carbon filter before that are made in USA too but they don't work as well as this one. Sadly I was unable to add a MERV filter to this carbon filter to filter out the particulates from Tobacco smoke since otherwise it would be too heavy to stay on the ceiling vent, but this filtrate filter really works well at removing tobacco smoke smells on its own. Personally I found this carbon filter does a better job at absorbing tobacco smoke than the dyson purifier (which has HEPA + Carbon filter) that I have in my unit (I have a few different models / brands purifiers). I would recommend this carbon filter which is easy to to cut for anyone who needs to remove tobacco smoke smell.

When neighbor smoke at home or cooks, the smoke could come in through vent. After use this (pair with 3M filter), I could barely smell any smoke, although I use air purifier too at room

These are expensive filters that require hooks to attach them. The box says hooks are included, but they aren’t. Waste of money without the hooks

I tried to use it around the puffier filter but couldn’t insert the filter back in the device, it jammed due to the thickness that eliminated the space.
