My can holes were not cut very cleanly and when i replaced them with some modern LED replacements, they were just small enough that i could see the ring of the existing lights on the ceiling and gaps around the edges where the holes were too big or cut incorrectly. These saved the day making the imperfections disappear and the lights look more expensive and substantial.
