Lots of protein, almost no sugar
If you're looking for a vegan protein bar, I'm not sure you'll find one with more protein and less sugar. These are of course packed with artificial sweeteners and flavors. They taste fine. Nobody would mistake "birthday cake" for an actual birthday cake, but you don't have to choke them down and they do the job. I've found them easy to digest as well. I've tried a bunch of other options (Aloha, IQ Bar, etc.) and they have roughly 50-75% the amount of protein. Many other bars also rely heavily on nuts, which can be tough on my stomach in high quantities.

The best tasting chalk ever 🤢
These are probably one of the worst bars I have ever tasted. They taste like chalk and are just awful. My husband and kids all tasted them with me and wanted to know what they did to deserve to eat these bars. Good news is they promised to be on their best behavior as long as I never serve these again. Highly advise trying crayola chalk to see which one tastes better. It would definitely be cheaper to eat that instead! These bars aren't cheap and disappointed that I literally just threw my money in the trash.

Rubbery feeling
The flavor is ok, but the texture is odd. I expected a little gritty as most vegan bars are, but it was also rubbery. Not sure how to explain it but when I ran my tongue on my teeth, especially my molars, it felt rubbery and squeeky. I've never experiened that with any other bar. It kinda gives me the heebie jeebies like filing your teeth. Not sure I'll be buying these again.

They’re good to go 👍
I’m well accustomed to protein bars being a part of my daily routine. I’ve tried and enjoyed many varieties over the years.I’m also long past the days of eating candy bars and other sugary, processed food for snacks. So I know the difference between a candy bar and a protein bar; and so my expectations for taste and texture are not a conflation of the two. A protein bar will not taste like a Snickers or Butterfinger. 🤷‍♂️With that said, I’ve found that these protein bars, to me, are comfortably above average in both taste and texture. I ordered this sample pack to see what No Cow had to offer before I committed to a 12-pack or something. I liked all the flavors included. I was skeptical 🤨 about “Birthday Cake”, simply by its name. But it was actually tasty. What I ultimately like about these bars:- The balance of macro nutrients — low carb, *moderate* fat, and HIGH protein (more protein than many other plant-based/keto bars)- After trying the first one, I looked forward to when I would be having another (that’s important)- It was satiating; heavy enough not to feel like I was being teased or left wanting *immediately* after eating it.- They’re not only plant-based, but it’s 1) NOT soy protein, and 2) IS pea protein. Soy does NOT agree with my gut. 💥💨At the end of the day, I am pleased with this product. I would purchase again.

Great product, but…
I really like No Cow, I have a dairy allergy and they’re a great product for me. I like (most) of the flavors, too. However, the boxes have been open and the flavors have been incorrect in last 2 packs delivered to me. Wide open, bars spilling out. And, the “Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip” was just plain “Chunky Peanut Butter”. So I’m unhappy with that. Amazon immediately refunded me for the 1st open box/wrong flavor, but TBH, I’m not sure they’ll believe that it happened twice in a row. If No Cow changed the flavors in this 4 pack, though, the pics need to be changed to reflect that.

No...just no
No...just no. We did not like them at all. The taste was terrible neither my son or myself could eat these. My daughter even tried and it tasted so bad she immediately spit it out. I have tried many types ofprotein bars and this was a definite no. The tasty was very dry, chalky, grainy flavorless. I am glad we onlytried the 4 pack. We tried all 4 flavors and did not like any of them. If we hadn't open them all and triedthem I would definitely be asking for my money back!! Now maybe we got a bad batch or something, but allwe know is we did not like them. I will not say don't try it because who knows, maybe you will like them better than we did. Good luck

Awesome meal replacement
So here is the very real thing… if u can’t eat dairy or wheat like me, there are limited options out there. I’ve had these allergies for thirty years. These bars are amazing at filling me up without sugar or chemicals. Do they taste great? No. Do they taste terrible? No. I’m not looking for a sweet treat. I’m looking for a meal replacement with lots of protein so I’m not hungry for hours. These are perfect. I will subscribe and save and these are my new lunch to help me through my hectic work day. Then I’ll come home and have a huge dinner with lots of vegetables and carbs and protein. Do what u want but stop wanting food to taste like candy. Go buy candy and brownies. Those taste like that! Protein bars taste like protein bars. Especially ones without wheat, sugar, dairy and chemicals .

Awful taste
I tried these bars a few months ago, bought a couple of flavors at my local drug store and both flavors were great. Peanut butter / almond choc chip I think. I ordered a variety pack on Amazon. They taste soo different. They are way to sweet and strong flavor of stevia, chalky texture. Just not palatable. I tried Aloha bars recently and they’re decent. Taste more natural but I think less protein than the no cow bars. I can’t bear to eat the no cow tho.. sent back.
