Good design, works well
Update Oct 2021: At first, I thought it was a driver issue with Windows 11, but no i think the enclosure has gone bad. This drive has been causing my system to freeze up and I keep getting Blue Screen errors since the OS update. I tried multiple working NVMe drives, a Samsung 960Evo and and Kingston A2000. I even tried it on Linux, drive still freezes and causes kernel panic. Lasted less than a year. I'll try to RMA it with Asus.Original Review April 2021: I like the design, and assembly is easy enough. Full body aluminum should work well for heat dissipation. Works well, transfers are pretty fast as you'd expect. I didn't do speed tests, because i frankly couldn't care enough. One odd thing i noticed was about the included cables. The USB-C to A cable is labeled as USB 3.0 (so USB 3.2 Gen 1), and the USB C to C is USB 3.1 (USB 3.2 Gen 2). The enclosure is rated as USB 3.2 Gen 2, so I would assume the included cable should have the same rating. I haven't gotten around to testing if it actually makes any difference, but theoretically Gen 1 is half the speed of Gen 2. Maybe I'll do it eventually and then update this review.A sim ejector like tool for opening the case would not have been my first choice. It is easy to lose and you'll be left looking for one down the line if you need to change out the drives.

Very Durable, Worth It
This ROG Arion is very strudy and doesn't get any scratches. it has lighting, which can be controlled through Armoury Crate. it fits in the pocket perfectly and doesn't get much heated while using Gen 5 2TB SSD and transfer at very fast. no questions about speed, depends on you ssd. also no problems in connectivity, just make sure to eject through windows first before directly unplugging it. totally Worth it for the quality and branding. cheap ones are also good but this one is something else.

Needs a proper screw!!!
Package came intact with a seal on the box.Very well designed and full metal body construction. Thermal pads provided inside the case. Comes with high data transfer USB C/ A cables. A edge protector 'rubber case' for the CASE provided and an R-Clip to attach the unit to your laptop bag (perhaps). Accessing inside the case is also made easy with a pin push to open type arrangement. The propriety screw provided was not well designed. When the SSD biscuit is inserted inside and the screw tightened, the case would not close. After investigation found that the screw head was unnecessarily big causing the problem...Had to find another screw and jerry rig the connection to make it work!!!***Update: All is good with the screw the ssd biscuit sits in the screw notch provided (see attached pics). After 2 hrs of continuous gaming and 200 GB's of data transfer the SSD temps were below the 45 Deg C mark which is really good. I got a healthy data transfer rate of 550 GBps on my WD 1TB SSD which is sufficient for gaming.Verdict : A bit expensive for what you are getting here. Only would recommend if you are a Tech enthusiast, own Asus products or simply like all things RGB....

My internal SSD has a case now that is stylish yet compact, built out of aluminum, this is durable and does not even warm up during extended periods of usage

Sleek looking and tough at the same time
Solid product, worked like a charm for me. Cloned my 250 gb sdd to a 1 tb verbatim SSD and booted up my higher capacity laptop without issue. Didn't heat up much either during the procedure which is good. People should know however that this case has issues with the crucial p5 sdd, so if u have one of those don't buy this. I'll keep my 250 GB western digital safe somewhere as backup and purchase another SSD to use with this enclosure for regular file transfer. Happy customer here π

Amazing SSD enclosure
The delivery is on time as the packagine was also amazing. The SSD is robust and aluminum body which makes this disk more sturdy. Aprat from the light on ROG logo is fully customizable via Asus Aura creator. I am happy to bought this product. Moreover, the transfer speed is swift and not much difference to my laptop ssd.

DISCLAIMER:This is just a seller(Klick Technology) rating not product....sorry
PLEASE CHECK THE SELLER NAME BEFORE BUYING.DON'T BUY THIS FROM KICK TECHNOLOGY.I received an opened package with craft taped. Quick release pin and cables were missing so I returned it(since I didn't get an option to replace itπ).Then I bought this on MD Computers' website.Product is pretty great. Used this with Crucial P5 plus SSD for my video editing work (Premiere Pro & After Effects). Works great with my STRIX G17 laptop.
