If I want to can I have one remote control half the lights and the 2nd remote the other half without mixing up signals?

Yes, you can. because our remote control is Radio frequency remote, it has very strong signal, it can control even in very far and deep place, so please keep away from other lights which you don't want to control. you can just use one remore to control all the lights to be differents colors. and, you can take out batteries, because it has memory function, so it will remember your last setting. thank you!
