Brightwell Aquatics MicroBacter Clean Marine Aquarium Cleaner Aid, 2L

This stuff is no joke, my tank and rock work were getting this build up of milk on them so I dosed this every other day for a week and it has done an amazing job restoring the rock to a nice clean brand new appearance.

I was a bit skeptical to use in my reef tanks. Started and continued dosing at about half of what was recommended for normal use and did not see immediate results. I'm always cautious about overdosing anything. After several weeks of use I did notice that I did not need to clean by glass as often. Then what what really prompted me to write this review was that after few moths of use this product seemed to kill off cyano that was lingering in my fuge with which I was struggling for about a year. The microalgae in the fuge took off growing where before that wasn't the case. And skimmer is now working extra hard removing thick sludge. This also happened at a time when my tank was due for monthly water change and there was no other change in my maintenance routines for a while. This product will definitely be something I will continue to use after weekly skimmer cup cleaning.

After a decade reefing, "nothing good happens fast" is pretty much the proven, golden rule. Yet after 3 doses (5ml per gal, once per week) this wiped out all the turf algae like a switch. I was stunned. Stuff that grew everywhere - sand, shade, rocks, coral - just disappeared. *Note that I did resolve the major detritus issues first*, but within 3 days of blowing the rocks off, they would still be covered in sheet-like green algae. On the 3rd weekly water change, I dosed as usual and the algae just vanished. Clean as much as you can, follow the instructions and stay the course. Great product, and I'll continue to use it.

Mind blown honestly. Levels were perfect in the tank and kept getting multiple types of Algae. Added this in there 1 time a week, 2 capfulls and half the algae is gone after 30 days. In the way to a spotless tamk again.
