Why did you pick this product vs others?: OK, first off - I'm a really good cook. I've made my own syrup (and vanilla extract) for several years now. This stuff is as close to homemade as you're going to find on the market (save for maybe Etsy from another homemade cook). I only bought this after a little kitchen mishap (after over a month of 12-14 hour days / 7 days a week of working and sheer exhaustion). I purchased a variety of top rated syrups from Amazon and gave 6 a go. This one was by leaps and bounds better than the rest! Good job Sonoma Country! Taste: Excellent! Definitely taste a high quality, pure vanilla extract with the "caviar" to boot! Not sure which beans they use, but it's a nice touch to the regular Madagascar variety used by most of the other "all natural" syrups I gave a go before going back to cooking my own. I at least know if I am ever in a pinch, I've found my back-up "go-to." Exceptional syrup and earns the Blue Ribbon in my home taste test. Ingredients: Top shelf ingredients (and they do not skimp on the vanilla either)! VERY flavorful with a surprising bean I haven't quite figured out! Can definitely tell they used both the extract and the bean when cooking up their syrups! And since it takes 2 years to get the best flavor from homemade extracts, it would take me a LONG time to figure out (and there are too many bean varieties and only so much coffee a girl can drink). And although pricey, they do not water it down to make you pay even more in the end. I used less of this syrup to get the same sweetness but with a whole lot more flavor!

I’m a girl that likes her oat milk with a side of coffee, so take from that what you will. My favorite latte is a caramel latte, and my second is a vanilla latte so I had high hopes for this product. At around $.99/oz when I purchased it, I had even higher hopes. (Especially because I waited a few weeks for the price to drop) I was a *bit* disappointed because I kept giving it chance after chance, but I’m just not in love with the flavor profile of this syrup. Hence, I used what we purchased but I have been hesitant to buy another bottle because I’m wondering what else is out there. I tried it in a DIY iced caramel macchiato, a few vanilla lattes (hot and cold), in a couple of iced matcha lattes, and even on pancakes. I wasn’t fond of it in the matcha, it was too subtle in the macchiato and easily overshadowed by the caramel, and just okay on the pancakes. The best preparation for it was in the vanilla lattes, but I regrettably had to use more than 2 TBSP in my latte to bring the vanilla flavor forward, which resulted in it being too sweet. On my second go I jazzed it up by using additional vanilla beans, and vanilla infused oat milk creamer and that eventually did the trick. Pros: - The ingredient list is minimal - It does contain vanilla extract & vanilla beans - It comes in a beautiful glass bottle - Shipping was good, and it came wrapped in a good amount of bubble wrap - It felt like I was shopping with a small brand - It definitely tastes better (read: cleaner) than the vanilla syrup from Torani Cons: - The vanilla flavor is muted (IMO) - The lid is difficult to put back on, but it’s doable - The price point is high, typically over $1/oz which ended up being the ultimate deciding factor for me because I’m not crazy about it Would I buy it again if the price dropped? Yes, probably. Will I scramble to buy another bottle since we’ve run out? No. Will I be reusing the bottle that it came in? Yes, yes I will.

Tastes great and I have ordered all of their other flavors as well. Label design makes this bottle look good on my coffee bar. I added pumps to all my bottles so it is very convenient to use when making coffee, matcha, smoothies, hot chocolate, etc. I highly recommend this brand. Very pleased with all of my purchases.

Impressive tasting syrup for teas, cocktails, or coffee. The vanilla is very forward and pleasant, specs of vanilla bean are visible in the syrup. The strength is just right and a typical syrup pump lid will screw on so I can throw two pumps in a latte for a really nice sweet but not two sweet flavor. On the other hand it's priced quite high for a syrup at the roughly $25 per bottle I paid which only lasted at most 14 days in my house where teas, coffees, and cocktails are regularly made. Still, if a high quality syrup that will only enhance your specialty espresso drinks or handcrafted cocktails is important I'd say this is a great option.

We love Sonoma Syrups! The ingredients are clean, the flavor is delicious, and they’re not overly sweet. Perfect for adding to our lattes!
